It hurts me to leave this review, but it has to be done. This is about the food truck experience at a local brewery. The good: food was tasty. The bad: 13 dollar burger was the size of two mcdonalds chicken nuggets max (pictures). The spuds chicken thing was decent but like, potato chips instead of fries? Tell me you're cutting corners without cutting corners. More bad: ordered via qr code at 7:01pm. Received a call saying they were out of an item, no problem. I ask if i will be notified via text when it's ready and am told yes. Wait time 20-25 minutes, that's fair. 40 minutes go by and I walk up to the makeshift counter to see they are merely calling names, barely loud enough to hear more than 3ft away. This is not an exaggeration. All of the food was completely cold and of the two items I ordered, only one was marked woth my name. I asked if there was another item for joe and was told 'i am just calling things as they come out'. Turns out the other item was sitting there, unmarked, getting even colder than cold. Literally as i am typing this i find out that my friend's burger was completely forgotten about and not only that, he ordered whatever 'bday style' is, and they are out of onions or something and didn't even offer to refund the difference between what he PAID for (remember, a patty the size of two nuggets for $13+) and what he got. I am fairly sure the person whose to blame for all of the poor logistical decisions that led to this debacle is not present, and the girl at the counter is probably as much of a victim as the patrons this evening so she is relatively blameless. I only hope that this opens someone's eyes.
Epilogue: wanted to go to their physical llocation and to be fair, the few bites that existed off my burger were tasty and that makes it all the more tragic. Likely will never bother heading to...
Read moreThis was my first time ordering for delivery from Big Jerk. Honey, please give the grill master a raise! That was the best chicken Iâve ever had from the grill. The breast was moist but cooked to perfection all the way through. At first I thought the meat was underdone on the thigh but that was the hickory smoke penetration. Smokey flavor was not overpowering and it complimented the jerk seasoning so well. The best thing on the plate was the chicken; the jerk chicken was absolutely divine. My only criticism is that I thought that it could stand a little more heat from peppers.
We ordered the mac & cheese the coleslaw and the rice and peas. The best thing on the plate was the chicken. The rice was a little overdone it was kind of fluffy looking not the best but decent, the mac & cheese with the pimento (small container) was pretty good and the coleslaw was great. But the chicken stole the show. I also enjoyed the mango salsa that came in the container with the yeast rolls as well. I also had a slice of the cheesecake which was decent 7/10 as I could have done without the mystery side sauce. I look forward to ordering...
Read moreGreat Looking restaurant outside grill and seating area was very nicely decorated. Now letâs get to my jerk wings and fire grilled half chicken meal with sweet potato fries and salsa side dip. The jerk wings were way too salty the sodium level was a 10 really need to warn customers it was so salty I had to drink 3 bottles of water after only 3 wings . The wood fire chicken was not edible it was cooked on one side the other side was very very raw undercooked. Itâs like the chef uses salt as his top 4 seasons horrible. If I didnât live in Philly I would have asked for a full refund. Best thing was the potato roll and sweet potato fries. Only thing I would use there jerk chicken for is to heal a open wound . That place needs all the salt removed from that...
