Just wanted to say this a 5 star review for an airport bar. There are somethings I can think of where they can improve, but overall it was a really nice experience. Cheryl wasn’t my personal server (I sat at the bar) but she was hustling around behind the bar cleaning and clearing dishes. She took some other customers at the bar - so maybe there were two bartenders. Anyways, Cherly should be recognized for her hard work and candor when it came to recommending some interesting state parks to visit while I travel. She even offered to fill my Nalgene, without me asking. Super sweet person. Food: Green Survival Wrap I asked my server to thank the chef, because it was a perfectly made wrap with a generous heap of spinach which basically makes up the wrap of: Hummus, spinach, tomato, red onion, pickled banana peppers, goat cheese, toasted pine nuts, feta, spinach tortilla. They didn’t add the cheese, so it was on the side but I think I preferred it that way. The server asked if I wanted them to remake it as she noticed it wasn’t in the wrap, but there was no need to redo a wrap just for that. Read moreI was waiting to review to give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt. I have now been here a half a dozen times, alternating between here and the local. Nearly every time, I have had to approach the bar to get the check because of slow service. Trying wine for the first time, the glasses were 18 dollars each. Unreasonable, even for an airport. The food menu has a good offering, although they were out of the sweet potato starter the last time I was here. I hope they identify ways to do better, as MHT needs a place like this to support the travelers.
Update, had to try again because of lack of other options. Ridiculing those who are approaching the bar because "nobody was reading the sign" that says wait to be seated. Everyone was reading it, but it was taking too long to be acknowledged from what I saw. We read the sign and followed direction, but others weren't as patient.
Would not serve us a glass of wine because they would have had to open a bottle (any bottle) because they were "too slow". ...
Read moreSitting here as I type this, waiting for a beer. Have been sitting here for an hour, just barely got the food. Every table around me is complaining and angry about how long the service I s taking. Waitress warned me kitchen was slow BUT IT IS NOT THAT BUSY HERE to justify how slow it is. Horrible management!!! These waitresses clearly don’t have assigned sections, and I think that contributes to this mess. Bartender is slow. While I don’t think it’s all on the waitresses, they do not check in with their tables enough AT ALL. It’s now the 4th inning and we haven’t been to our seats yet. Management = you all suck. I just watched three tables walk out without paying. Easily. No one has even noticed yet. I also just got my check. Highway robbery for the baskets of cold stuff. F this place.
