Oyaz Turkish Cuisine — Restaurant in Long Hill Township

My husband and I don’t eat out often which is why it’s taken us this long to try Oyaz. We actually only live up the road and have heard such great reviews, so last night we finally ordered from them and let me tell you, they blew us away! The food was so delicious and for such a small building, they sure do pack a punch in flavor. We ordered the falafel and hummus, Oyaz special, and rice pudding to share between us and our daughter which was more than enough food for the three of us. We ended up only having half the food and the rest we saved for the next day! I wish I took more photos, but I did manage to take one before we absolutely devoured this meal. I ordered the Lamb Adana Kebab and Grilled Chicken, and both were outstanding. The Adana was perfectly spiced, juicy, and had that authentic char-grilled flavor you can only get from a real Turkish grill. Every bite was full of smoky, savory goodness.

The Grilled Chicken was equally impressive—tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. It wasn’t dry at all, and the marinade gave it a nice kick without being overpowering. Paired with the fluffy rice and fresh salad, it made for a perfect, well-balanced meal.

Portion sizes were generous, presentation was great, and the food tasted homemade. You can really tell they use fresh ingredients and care about quality.

I had been hearing about this restaurant for weeks since it had opened and I decided to try it for Father’s Day. Let me say, this was probably one of the best lunches I have had in a while. Between the four of us, we ordered babaganoush, cheese rolls (deep fried with feta and spinach), falafel, shish kebab plate and a chicken kebab plate. The babaganoush was perfectly smoky and the cheese rolls were fresh and hot. The falafel was far from dry and came with a side of pita. The plates came with rice, onions, salad and a pepper.
