I seldom give five stars to restaurants I visit and don't think I've ever given five stars in all the areas of food, service and atmosphere. Murry's Restaurant earns that throughout, however, with incredible food, service that's flat-out the best you can get and a cool restaurant out in the country away from town. Their catfish is some of the best I've ever eaten, and I've eaten more than my share. It's served with a thin, crunchy, perfectly fried coating of corn meal and spices, and all the side items--hushpuppies , fries, baked potato, coleslaw and salad--were excellent as well. A special treat is the big loaf of freshly baked buttery bread that comes with your entree, and what may be the best bread pudding on the planet. I can't say enough about the impeccable service. Our waitresses were friendly and efficient, taking care of our every need and making us feel right at home. We even were invited to the kitchen to meet the owner, Stanley Young, his wife Becky and their two daughters, one of whom was our waitress. We felt like family when we left, and indeed the Youngs told us that was now the case after introductions all around. Bring cash to pay because they don't take credit cards. We were traveling and stayed overnight in Hazen, AR looking for a restaurant for our evening meal. Googled local restaurants and found Murrys Restaurant. My husband and I both ordered the Grilled Chicken dinner. My husband ordered a second grilled chicken breast to go with his meal. The food was good and presented nicely. Being from out of the area no one told us we need to go to the register and ask to be rang up for our bill. So we waited for quite a good amount of time for the waitress to bring us the bill. The air conditioner was extremely cold so that is the main reason my husband went and asked about the bill. Much to our great surprise when we were rung up, we were charged for three complete dinners and all we received was a second small chicken breast that wasn't that great to be charged 11.95. A bill of $42.49 is extremely high for the meals we had and we had also left a tip on the table. If we are ever in the area again we will avoid this...

It was almost an hour before we received our food once we finally placed our order. My grandson didn't receive his fried okra I didn't receive my bread pudding. Didn't get a refill on our drinks untill we was finished. Informed them we didn't get all of our food Sat there another 15 min still didn't get it. Got to the cash register couldn't pay with debit card was told it's on the menu cash only. When I'm looking @ a menu I'm looking for food not to see if it says cash only. It should have been on the door. The fish was good but wasn't worth the price for the 3...
