February 5, 2024, 7pm, Lordsburg, NM…..We had been traveling for 14 hours and were looking forward to sitting down to a nice meal at Denny’s. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated and when the waitress saw us and made no effort to communicate to us we then seated ourself. Upon sitting down I let the waitress know we would seat ourselves. She let us know she was the only waitress working. There were literally 3 tables with guests, not that busy. She continued waiting on other patrons and it was another 5-6 minutes before she came over to our table. No smile. No greeting. “What can I get for you?” I asked for a cup of coffee with French Vanilla creamer to which she responded, “we only have half-n-half”. I asked if they have flavored tea, to which she answered, “no”. Then she changed her answer and said “we have raspberry tea”. I said oh you do have flavored tea, I’ll take a raspberry tea. I also ordered a salad. She walked away, grabbed glasses to make our drinks and while making them, she mimicked what I said and out loud in a very rude voice where we could hear, she said, “oh I see you do have flavored tea”. As soon as I heard her I said let’s go. We will not be treated like this. I asked to speak to the manager, and she told me I was being rude. She also told the so-called manager I was rude. I explained to the manager what happened and his response was, “she’s stressed out because she’s the only one working”. That is not the customers fault and is NOT an acceptable answer. It was an excuse for her behavior. COMPLETELY uncalled for. If this is the kind of service Denny's allows from their employees we will not be eating there again, anywhere in the US. Read moreI ordered a omelet with chorizo, onions, red peppers and mushrooms, Monica who took my order was super sweet, very attentive with all the customers. My order was delivered by Alma, I said I’m sorry I forgot to mention salsa, she says she would bring it out just after caring for other customer, GREAT! After the other customer she must have forgot, that’s fine it happens. But to stand in chatty chatty, looking at the other employee cell phone, laughing and not once looking to the tables! I had to call on my cell phone to restaurant, she broke away, answered phone. It was me and I got my salsa. Now normally I would just walk and ask, I know they get busy. But Monica had seen that my ankle was bad I could barely walk in. I drive a truck and I save my steps for restrooms, showers and fueling. I felt fortunate that a fuel pump was down and I could park close enough to enjoy not eating in truck. Alma you lost your tip. You don’t even seem to like your job, the only time smiled was when you were chatting. The way you speak to coworkers seems so cold-per your facial expressions. Read moreI’m an otr truck driver and my experience at this Denny’s location was beyond horrific. I ordered a full zesty nachos plate with two orders of the crazy spicy sizzilin’ skillet. I wanted to substitute one protein for turkey bacon. The management team wanted to give us a hard time about that substitution. Once my orders were brought out they literally were half the portion size of any other Denny’s location. I told m’aménageant I wasn’t going to pay for half an entrée when every other Denny’s location that is independently owned doesn’t short their customers on portion size. The manager’s name was Denise and she had a very nasty attitude. She continued to talk about me and my wife to her employees as if we couldn’t hear her being unprofessional. I asked for the owner’s contact number or email and she wouldn’t give that information out. This is by far my worse experience at any fast food chain and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this location to my worst enemy. They don’t care about customer concerns and fixing a problem that could easily be resolved. Apparently this location weighs entrées prior to giving them to customers.
