La Corita — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I had lunch here during the week. Not busy at all. I ordered a tostada mixta, 1 shrimp taco and 1 fish taco and french fries. The tosta had much to be desired... It was ok. Little pieces of seafood that were heavily diced up to make it a full tostada. Please note, the tostada has sliced carrots that I didn't care for either. My recommendation: Skip it!

The shrimp and fish tacos were delicious and made the tostada an after thought. They made up for what the tostada lacked. The pieces were plentiful and taste was on point. My recommendation: Order It!

Oh and the french fries were good, too.

The dining area feels like someone's backyard with a lot flies. I don't mind these kin of establishments, as long as they are clean, and this place was that.

All in all, this place is worth visiting only if you happen to be in the neighborhood, not something you plan out to visit especially if you are...

Food is ok but service was not good at all. We ordered a dozen oysters which came with 3 halves of the really small dry limes with more seeds than juice, 3 packs of tapatio and salt, and the oysters were not even slightly rinsed(so they had a lot of broken parts of the shells) We went to ask for napkins when our food arrived and they gave us 2 napkins for 5 people when I had my son ask for more napkins (they didnt give him any) a guy came out and told us to unfold the napkins and use them properly(rude I think I know how to use a napkin). So I asked him to just charge me for more napkins but he ignored me and walked away. Let me add the other 2 napkins which came on the tray were full of the juice from the aguachiles we ordered. I was craving some ceviche, so I drove from Pasadena to this restaurant based on the reviews I had to come and try out the ceviche. I have to say it’s the worst I have tried it tasted like it’s been made a few days ago & had this smell to it, & not to mention where is the shrimp? I did not like the taste of it. I do not like to leave bad reviews especially on small businesses but this was unacceptable. Picture for reference had a lot of everything except shrimp. Also this is coming from someone im who is Hispanic and grew up eating a lot of ceviche from different restaurants...
