Absolutely wonderful food, atmosphere and staff! This was my first time in so We sampled a little of everything (except the sauces, there were soooooo many choices!) and it’s tough to pick a favorite! The brisket, pulled pork and ribs were all so delicious, the sauces we sampled (Korean BBQ, Kansas City, Alabama White, and Whiskey Peach) were super tasty, and the sides (baked beans, coleslaw and blue cheese potato salad) were also all on point! The place is beautiful, I loved the rustic look and the spacious floor plan and the staff was next level. Dan greeted us with a big smile and was super helpful with all the food and beverage choices. His fiancé (sadly didn’t catch her name, but a total sweetheart) was hard at work in the back but was always quick to answer any questions or grab another order. The night was an absolute treat and I will definitely be back and highly recommend Z’s BBQ for anyone...

MONTHS later I reached out to check if everything was on-track, and was told that the date I was asking for got booked over and I will need to now scramble to find someone else to cater the event.
Running a small business is brutal and exhausting and I do not believe the owner intentionally booked over my event; he seems very nice and sincere. However, if you have an important event that you want catered and you are looking at this business, make sure you have your agreement written in stone. Communication and time management are a...
Read moreAbsolutely a must stop. We were visiting Joseph for the first time from Portland for a little getaway trip, staying on a farm in Lostine. After a long day of kayaking on the wallowa lake, shopping down town Joseph and chatting with locals at alpine fest, we found our way to the Lostine Tavern for an end to a killer day. It did not disappoint. The vibe is very chill and relaxed. Extremely welcoming with the most tender beef rib we’ve had/found in a long time. What a gem we found tucked away in eastern Oregon. We even took a Togo order to have some left overs as we head over to our campsite. Give some love if you’re...
