Today 3/11/17, i ordered the combination fried rice, chicken and broccoli and bourbon chicken with fried rice. When placing the order, the receptionist was super friendly and very quick putting the order in. The food took about 15 minutes to arrive at our house, which was really good because we were extremely famished after a long day. Upon opening our food i immediately noticed the "chicken" in the chicken and broccoli looked a bit odd. I grabbed a piece, looked at it closer, smelled it and bit into a tiny piece on the side. My reflexes immediately spewed the mystery meat out of my mouth. It was not done! How could they serve people this. I moved on to check out the combination fried rice and i had even more disapointment. The beef (that i paid extra for) was awful! The first piece i picked up still had pink in it. It was rubbery and smelled foul. I just could not, would not allow my family to consume any of this food. I immediately called the establishment back where I was told the driver would come back to see if it was cooked all the way! I asked to speak to the manager and she didnt make it any better by saying they don't do refunds! I spent 30 minutes on the phone arguing with these people because they refused to give me a refund or to send us food that was actually edible. I will never eat at this place again. The food is horrible and the customer service is even worse. If you guys need good chinese food in the area, please go to Northshore Empress. I'm currently pissed that i didn't want to pay a little extra, however it would have saved us all the headache. In conclusion to my story, i did not get my money back as i insisted, they made us two more orders of the bourbon chicken as that was the only edible dish we were served that day. Really disappointed the last two times we ordered - which is unusual as we really liked the food once upon a time. The texture of the chicken in both our dishes was rubbery and very difficult to identify as chicken. The coating used on the chicken did not provide a pleasant feel on the palate. (Fried rice, Garlic Chicken) The teriyaki chicken was inedible and tasted like it was past the safe to eat date. The won-ton strips for the soup were stale and had an unpleasant flavor. The soups were okay (won-ton & hot and sour) but each had the inevitable "skin" on the top from sitting for too long and being well past the freshness stage. I do understand the circumstances with the pandemic might lead to less than average food production - but serving items that leave the customer questioning their safety and unable to eat cannot be explained away by a lack of business. Down right disgusting! Prepping, cooking, sending food out they could care less if your food is good or not cold or hot. Reading thru the reviews this place hasn't changed. My daughter in law worked there when it was located on Hwy. 190. Four days she had to quit due to the way they handle food expecting people to eat it. Their attitude towards people about their food is, to bad,you eat what I prepared because you will not get a refund. The dear lady that got raw chicken was bad, could've very well been a "Roach". The Board of Health and the BBB should be called by everyone that paid for food that they could not eat for whatever the reason. Any restaurant that doesn't give a refund sure does tell me, something is not right...
