This place is a hole in the wall in Pearl River that if you blink you will drive right by, never being the wiser as to its existence. It doesn't have the ambiance of a typical Chinese restaurant, fish in a pond or a typical number based menu. What it does have is the best egg rolls hands down I have ever had the pleasure to eat. In fact they were so good I went out of my way the next time in Pearl River to stop by and order them again along with another hidden menu specialty the teriyaki chicken on a stick again totally blowing away the competition. They were much larger much tastier and the flavor! After inquiring about why these two menu items were so damn good here is the response I got. Both items are made in small batches and once a sold-out for the day they do not return on the menu until the next day. The wraps are freshly made everyday not frozen or store-bought huge difference. The Teriyaki stick are made from whole thighs and you get all of it, this is no chicken little! All I can say is I was in the service, the Navy, traveled the Far East extensively ,as well as eating in Chinatown on both coasts ,New York and San Francisco .I haven't found an egg roll that was better ,in either place or in the world so that does say something if you take my advice are passing through are hungry , don't waste your time on all the fast food that is the normal stop off the interstate. The egg rolls came 3 to an order same with the chickens on a stick. I got five orders of each to take home to the family and two people working for me you can't believe how good they were I spent $50 total. Amazing. I wish I would have pictures, but they were eaten to quick! So when I go back I'll make sure to add on to...
Read moreI’ve had China Pearl twice now, and both times I ordered the orange chicken with shrimp fried rice. The food is consistently delicious, and the portions are absolutely massive—they stuff the to-go boxes to the brim. Easily three meals in one.
This is a takeout-only restaurant. There’s no dining room, so it’s not your typical sit-down Chinese place. It’s strictly pick-up and go. The first time I ordered, someone else picked it up for me, so I didn’t see the place. On my second visit, I went inside—it’s a small, mom-and-pop style setup with a straightforward takeout counter and friendly staff.
The orange chicken is packed with flavor, and the shrimp fried rice is excellent. They use full-size shrimp, not the tiny chopped ones—these were about the size of a quarter, maybe baby prawns, and they were cooked perfectly. It really elevated the dish beyond your usual takeout expectations.
I’m uploading photos of the menu since none were listed on Google yet, plus a picture of the portion size so you can see for yourself.
5 out of 5—great food, huge portions, and exactly what you want in a solid takeout spot.
Side note: I’ve submitted nearly 600 reviews, and my photos and videos have over 18 million views on Google Maps. If this helped, give me a follow—it’s always...
Read moreFirst off let me start by saying my husband and I have been eating here since they opened always good food I've never really had any complaints however my husband always gets gravy on the side with his Mandarin Chicken because it gets very soggy before he's even finished eating his meal much less any leftovers.. when I was placing my order the lady was rather rushing me and not giving me a chance to speak(talking over me) maybe she was busy I don't know however she did not put the gravy on the side and my husband ended up eating scrambled eggs.. I called the rest and was going to return it the next day but they said they could not accept a return the next day ... I get it but ny hysband was tired.. He cooked his own dinner.. Why couldn't I get a refund the next day. ???.after 12 hours work snd 3 hours driving he did not feel like going back to China Pearl so not just bc of the waste of $10 but when I called them the lady wasn't very friendly and told me pretty much oh well there's nothing they can do. I won't be going back. ... No explanation no apology. Again we will not be going back. I'll...
