I only gave one star because I had to, I would have preferred no stars. My husband and I are staying at the hotel nearby and decided to walk over and have a drink. We were welcomed very warmly by the older woman tending bar. ( I can't remember her name, but her daughter is the bar manager). Initially we were having a great conversation and I had mentioned I first noticed the bar the night before. I was totally taken aback and was extremely offended when she replied, "oh you didn't want to be here last night I had a bunch of Mexicans in here". She proceeded to tell us that when the Mexicans come in the tend to break glasses and get loud and out of control. And they order pail after pail of alcohol. She had such a look of total disgust and disdain. In the meanwhile a white patron who was in the bar and visibly drunk dropped a glass on the floor to which she laughed and told him if it would have broken she would have had his head on a platter. He then came over to where my husband and I were both sitting, started using profanity towards my husband (in a joking manner🙄 so they said). She continued to laugh and joke with him and ignored his rude and obnoxious behavior. The same behavior she described the Mexican patrons of having that bothered her so. I have never felt so uncomfortable listening to such racism. I will never step foot on this establishment again and would dissuade anyone of Hispanic descent from patronizing. My father is Mexican and it was so hurtful to see that level of racism in this day and age....
