Last time we will go to this restaurant. Hadn't tried it in awhile and Charlie's next door was pretty busy, so we decided to go to Lagniappe. I guess the empty parking lot on a Friday night should have told us something. We were greeted when we came in, sat down, they came fairly quick to get drinks etc., we ordered crab fingers appetizer. Big mistake! The appetizer is $12 and we rec'd 9 fingers! And there were 2 fairly decent sized ones, the rest were small. At this point we should've walked out but we didn't. Received our salads, lol, a tiny saucer of lettuce with the dressing plopped on top. We were disappointed about the crab fingers and our server knew, so after that we didn't hardly see her. Thanks to one poor girl that was cleaning near us, we finally managed to obtain some crackers and refills. So our food comes out and it looked pitiful. My husband ordered ribeye, it was the thinnest ribeye I've ever seen, I ordered the sirloin tips, they were ok. Not worth the money. I really wish we would've left and went down the road and we could've probably gotten better service and a whole lot better food. ...
Read moreFood is so sub-par. Evidently, they don't have enough business to make fresh salsa, or burgers, and some other items. Suggestion: if you can't afford the overhead to make it fresh, and at the very least freeze it fresh, then don't offer it. I am always dying for a BURGER (a real burger). I would easily pay your light bill! If your menu was narrowed to things you can prepare fresh or freeze fresh, you would get way more repeat customers! WAY MORE. Bless the wait staff's hearts. They are all darlin's, knowing they don't make half the money they could at say, Buddy's or Charlie's. Step up! You are one of two restaurants in a town the size of a peephole. There should be a wait here! Summer's coming, Sam. Get it together. If a $0.99 margarita on Wednesdays cant get people through the door, then you need to...
Read moreThis was our first trip to this establishment. We started out with a stuffed mushrooms which were fried. The stuffing was supposed to be a seafood, but our waitress couldn't tell us what it was stuffed with whether it was crab shrimp, crawfish or what. But it tasted pretty bready and the sauce that was covered in tasted like thinned out Velveeta. Our entree was the eggplant medallions? They were large but thin and breaded and fried had shrimp and crawfish on them. It was not that great. It was pretty boring. It tasted like it had the same sauce so the shrimp had. The highlight of the night was the wine was inexpensive for what it was. But the service was okay. Nothing to write home about simply because the waitress didn't seem to know what any of the dishes consisted of. But we probably...
