We dined here during non busy hours.

Service was great, but the food left much to be desired.

I sent an email to the company to let them know our experience. I've received no reply or acknowledgment that they would address the situation.

Good afternoon ,

I wanted to reach out to you and let you know what our experience was like today. I usually do google reviews, and I have upwards 1.5 million views, so I didn't want to review your establishment just yet because frankly, we need a great place to dine in the neighborhood. I have included one of the receipts which should give you an idea of where to get more information about the visit.

3 of the 8 enjoyed the food And would order again the rest said they would not return. Would not return: Burger : overpriced for run of the mill burger Shrimp poboy x2 some were burnt all were overcooked Shrimp plate overcooked Onion tangles tasted off and soggy

All of the food came out at different times and just about everyone was done eating before the shrimp plate came out.

A hidden Gem in Gonzales!

My wife and I went on our traditional "Sunday Lunch Date," and this week, she chose The Camp. I've never been there before, nor have I even heard of it lol but I always keep an open mind.

So, we get to the restaurant and we realize that there's no parking by the building. There's a parking a lot on the side of the restaurant with a bridge to cross over the creek to get to it. Which was different, but when we get there, not a soul was there lol we were the only ones there. Which was bittersweet because is this place not really good but no line and I'm starving!

So, we get in the restaurant, and the hostess sits us down (immediately lol) and then greeted by our waitress Kerry or Kerri. Who was great the entire time!

Food time! My wife ordered the boudin egg rolls and the Crawfish loaded potato. I ordered The Camp Cheeseburger w Shrimp and the 6pc Spicy BBQ wings! My wife enjoyed her her meal very much and the same goes for me! When they brought that burger out, it was a BEAUTIFUL MONSTER! This burger was delicious. Perfectly, seasoned, nicely grilled and charged, and the shrimp were seasoned to perfection as well. The wings were very solid. A little to overly sauced up but no complaints about the flavor, the spicy BBQ sauce wasn't too spicy at all. It's just a nice kick to it.

So, overall, the camp was a great selection. I'd give it a 8/10 We'll mostly be back again to try something different because the menu has some great options. Thanks, Camp,...

When I first called I should’ve tried to pre order I asked if they had crawfish they said yes told them I was on the way , when I got there I ordered 2 separate orders one for 6 lbs and one for 12 lbs when ordering I was told they had it paid for the 6 lbs only to find out they sold the crawfish to a table order that was fine but also didn’t have the 12 lbs so asked me if I would come back in a hour to pick up my order mind you I paid for the 6 lbs was 72.40 along with a 13.03 as a tip even though I was leaving with no crawfish the lady was sweet , but then when I was leaving the man boiling the crawfish reassured me he would have my 12 and 6 we leave a number to call when order was ready when I get the call I was pulling in only to find out all they had was my first order and 6 lbs for the 12 I originally ordered so I paid another 72.40 along with the same tip. When we left and got home to eat my whole family said they tasted so bad they couldn’t eat them the smell was foul and the crawfish over all was disgusting my husband tried on and immediately ordered from Fred’s food market , although they were sweet people the food was not giving crawfish season , they all tasted dead and overly salted to drown it out. I will definitely keep my way to Hole in the wall who is half the price and way better...
