Johnny is owner very bad.i was work first uchi sushi grand opening.me and my husband help johnny a large almost 10 month.my salary $.2/huor. 12 hour work a day($.20/day they pay me) Nonstop 7 days work no break time. We very shocked Johnny fired as.we really don't understand, no reason. No notice, we no steal restaurant money,we work hard. Johnny doesn't pay 40days my off day, 80 hour no breaktime, 27 hour overtime + extra 17day my husband work for 10 month.when Johnny fired as.he no want we came to restaurant because his scare we met Customer,Johnny know large Customer love as. I know everything inside uchi sushi,please stop put the food inside sushi bar sink you guys must to use basket,stop spit in sink. chef never clean vegetable before cook on grill,large soil in mushroom.dirty noodles salad from sushi bar, no use glow,always try food and put finger in tongue. There was a table of 10 that arrived the same time as us. They sat us on the table behind them and turned our grill on. The chef came and cooked for the other table and carried food from the other table to ours. He cooked with his back to us. It took 1 hr 15 minutes for them to take our order and bring us soup and salad, which was bland and the salad dressing tasted and looked watered down. I could not rate them lower than 1 star or I would have. They donāt deserve that! My family will not return! Plus the manager was rude! We paid for our drinks, soup and salad and went to Shogun when we left and received excellent food, customer service and the show we paid for. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT UCHI SUSHI IN DESTREHAN!!! The host was ok, he seated us, got our drinks, and brought our clear soup. However, we waited at least 30-35 minutes for the hibachi chef to come out and start cooking our food. During that time, I asked the host twice where was the cook to which he responded āheās comingā When he finally did come, we asked him why it had taken so long to which he replied āohā and continued to cook the entire time with no hospitality and no conversation (not that a chef is required to conversation with their guests, but this was the first hibachi restaurant Iāve been to where one did not).
