I absolutely loved the fufu! It paired beautifully with the rich, creamy palmnut soup—a combination that had my taste buds dancing with delight. This dish is undeniably a must-try!

However, during my recent visit for a second helping of palmnut soup, I was disheartened to find that it tasted old, freezer-burned, and less than appetizing. It's disappointing to feel that once the staff become familiar with you, the quality of service and food seems to diminish.

For a $30 meal centered solely around soup, I expected more—not only in taste but also in portion size, as the meat was disappointingly stingy. I had to throw away my entire meal since I feel uneasy about what might happen after sending food back.

Please, I urge you to improve! The cleanliness of the establishment needs attention—wiping down windows and ensuring a hygienic cooking environment is essential. It was particularly off-putting to witness a staff member dipping her hand into the rice while preparing meals—it completely ruined my appetite.

I hope you take this feedback to heart and strive for better. I won’t be returning unless significant...

I was looking for something on Google Maps, and saw a restaurant symbol that I wasn't expecting: "African Best Restaurant."

A friend and I went, and while talking to out server, she suggested they could give us a sort of combo with a couple of the things we wanted to try.

When the orders came she showed us how to mix the condiments with the rice and peas to get the heat level we wanted. (One cup had a substantially hot sauce, another a cooling sauce, and two others that I can't remember what they did; they were good, though.) The flavor and texture you get from mixing it all together is really nice.

Everything I tried: jerk chicken, plantain, rice and peas, and Fried rice (I think)...

I arrived at the restaurant around 4:45pm on 6/19/24. The owner came out and spoke with me after a few moments. She was very pleasant! I needed to order something to serve about 10 people. I had no idea what to get. She was very helpful. I ordered some greens and rice, plantains also. We were having a pitch-in at church. I also ordered a little something for me later! It took a little bit for her to cook it. But it was made fresh and I appreciated that!

It was a hit at my church meeting!

I want to say a big THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! It was well worth the wait! The food was marvelous! I will be back and shared your information with others also!

God Bless You and...

What a hidden gem! I am shocked this place does not have more reviews. When we went (around 6pm, on Saturday), the dining room was fairly empty, but customers did pop in for their food pick up. I think everyone should know about this place. It is amazing. My husband and I had never had African food, so we weren’t sure what to order. He ended up getting the fried chicken, and I tried the (whole) fried fish. Both had crisp skin and were cooked to perfection. The rice was also absolutely yummy. And, while we waited, we were asked if we wanted meat pies. Those were golden with flaky crust and a soft meat and onion mixture. I recommend it all. Great place, wonderful food, kind staff!

I just ordered the Jollof Rice and Jerk Chicken meal. It’s not like Jamaican Jerk Chicken but it is sooo good. I also got a meat pie. I was told it’s like a Jamaican Beef Patty but it had a different thickness to it that I wasn’t used to so I was a little taken aback on that one. For my drink I bought a BB Cocktail de Fruits. I thought it was juice but it’s more like a fruit soda. I like it. When I called to order my food I was told that they no longer had regular size plates. Only large. At first I was going to change my mind but decided to just split it with someone instead. I’m glad I did. I will definitely return and recommend this place to my friends.
