My family, the Simmons, Otis families have lived there all the last and I get up with Purvis BBQ. They are a wonderful family, you cook for my family for that long makes y'all family now lol. But if you have never been, it's a great drive to a beautiful small country town for a perfect date or meet up for lunch or bring the entire family not just yours lol you will be just like us, you'll be apart of Purvis BBQ and this entire family... Ok Purvis lol I'm still hoping that you will leave me the secrets, I would be honored to carry on this tradition if it's ever needed. Jonathan Dupree Son of Dale E. Absolutely the BEST BBQ and Brunswick stew I've had anywhere! I live in NC where BBQ is supposed to be one of the best on the planet, and I've tried many of them (and in SC, too) and PURVIS BBQ beats them all! Great people. Great food. And if anything is "warmed over" as another poster says, it's still GREAT! As a matter of fact, I've often asked for frozen so I can take it home and eat it...

The world's best bbq. Always fresh, juicy and tender. Never any hard bits or cartilage. Amazing vinegary sauce and the Brunswick stew make you into a true believer. This place will ruin all other bbq experiences for you for the rest of your life. Very friendly service as well. I cannot recommend this...
