The Lodge At Pleasant Point — Restaurant in Lovell

I've been coming to Pleasant Point over the past 20 years. I've had numerous delicious dinners, got married here, and keep coming back. The new management has done an impressive job at refurbishing this beautiful inn, including the rooms and the common areas, the dining room, the porch, and the beach. This was such an epic venue that my bridesmaid recently brought her husband for a weekend stay!

The dining room looks right out to Kezar lake. It's not air conditioned and can get warm. There are also tables on the porch for smaller parties. We grabbed a drink and went to the porch before the rest of our party showed. We got a nice bottle of Sancerre and my husband had an enjoyable cocktail from their menu.

The food menu has been updated and it has something for everyone. The rolls, pretzel bites, and pork dumplings were excellent. The clam chowder and stuffed seafood hadddock were raved about by our party. The veal saltimbocca was one of the best I've had. The portions were generous but not overwhelming.

Everyone working was super nice and helpful. There were some cons, as they seem to get overwhelmed or backed up. The dining room had people in it, but I wouldn't say it was packed. They were able to get my daughter's hamburger sent out quickly, which was very helpful. I did have to find our waitress so we could order dessert and close out our check as my daughter was fading and needed to get to bed. Again, some small drawbacks, but not unexpected during the reopening after COVID 19.

The Lodge at Pleasant Point is a fabulous inn located on one of the most picturesque spots on Kezar Lake. We had a very relaxing family vacation enjoying the lake and unwinding from our hectic daily lives. If all we wanted to do was sit on the sandy beach, swim in the clear water, kayaking on very large lake with so much to explore, enjoy the night moon by the fire pit, have a peaceful delicious dinner in the lakeside dining room, enjoy an after dinner drink at the bar, sit and play games in the lobby, or relax in the spacious guest room suite well we weren't disappointed even one bit. The owners were very personable and attentive to our needs. There is so much to do on the property but if you do want to explore there are hiking and trails nearby. Golf at the Kezar CC. Eat some ice cream at the marina. Or just blend in with the locals in the very small town of Kezar at the pub and the village store. It was the perfect getaway and felt so remote, yet so close. I just had my wedding at The Lodge at Pleasant Point and I cannot say Thank You enough to Beth, Brianna, Scott and entire staff. They were my personal wedding planners and helped with every detail from decorations to the wine list to my specific wishes for the rooming list. The food was wonderful and service was great. In additional they made sure my elderly parents were well looked after, which was instrumental in making it a perfect day for myself and now better half.

It seems like almost every guest had comments on the fabulous location, the comfortable and immaculate rooms and the more than helpful staff.
