Love this quaint Portuguese Bakery! I live quite far from this Bakery, almost a 40 min drive away. Live in Southern NH and don’t really have Portuguese anything near me. Which really sucks, but I make a trip at least once a month to get my favorite Portuguese goodies! I usually arrive at 6-7am to get the most Freshest mouthwatering Bread you could ever wish for!! Some Gonçalves Fig Jam to spread on it. Usually take the opportunity to grab my son his favorite, the Cinnamon Elephant Ear. As well as other things we might like to try. I can tell you nothing I buy from this bakery survives very long in my house. It disappears faster than I was able to buy it. Love the staff at this location very Friendly. They speak and understand both Portuguese and English very well! Always polite and seem to be very happy to see you when you walk thru the door. The mornings seem pretty busy when I arrive both on weekends and weekdays. Usually it’s mostly men getting their breakfast before they head off to a hard day of work. I see lots of breakfast sandwiches, and coffees running out the doors. The friendliness of the staff almost seems contagious, as the other customers always seem to be in great spirits before leaving this wonderful little shop with their hands full of their own treasured goodies. Yes as mentioned in someone else’s post/review, The parking is a bit to be desired. It’s quite a tight parking lot, and during business rush hours can be quite a headache. But for the freshness and taste of this little shops many wonderful goodies, it’s so worth the short migraine! Just pop a few Tylenol and enjoy your Favorite snack! Almost glad this Portuguese Bakery isn’t closer to me, because I’d be about thousand pounds and there everyday!! I’d personally Love to Thank the owners and staff of this little establishment. I haven’t once had a bad experience at your shop. When I first started going to your bakery I remember you guys didn’t carry a certain item and I had ask if you guys would ever get it. Now I’ve requested items at other shops before and still can’t find it or they never got it. Figuring it wouldn’t really happen with you guys either. But to my surprise you guys did! I remember the second time I had gone back...it was about a month later, you started carrying what I was looking for! So Thank You for being the first Establishment I’ve ever seen actually listen to their Customers! This is why I’m really actually writing a review because I usually don’t. But for guys 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼THANKS!!!...
Read moreDon’t recommend the staff is very rude this is the second time my boyfriend and I have gone and they’ve messed up our sandwich order giving us 4 ham and cheese sandwiches instead of just the one meat sandwich we asked for. The second time we didn’t realize until we were home we call them back and asked them if we could bring them back because there was no need to all the extra food and it wasn’t what we ordered. The girl who had took our order argued with us saying that’s what we had asked for and hung up. We called a second time and a different girl picked up we had a conversation about the situation and I asked if I could speak to the owner she then proceeded to ignore us and say she didn’t understand English even though she was just talking to us in English. I spoke to her in Portuguese since she said that all she spoke and when I explained everything again she said she would let me talk to the owner and hung the phone up. Go somewhere else it’s not worth spending your...
Read moreWell there are rats in there for sure since i saw one crawling around the wires as well as ants crawling all over the pastries. I asked one time for a bacon egg and cheese on a roll and she served me raw bacon. She took raw bacon and put it in the microwave for 2 mins and it was still raw. I called her out on it and she pretended she couldn't understand English. She made another one the same way. They need new staff in there fast or this place will fall. Smh take pride in your work and the restaurant. I'm sure the board of health would give them a summons if they...
