Do Not Order Takeout from Delizioso. They are nice people but the restaurant is not staffed to handle in-restaurant and takeout orders. I just waited one hour in their pickup area, along with so many other people, waiting for my order. I would have cancelled but I ordered online. People getting no information about our orders, people with order numbers way after mine being given their takeout order before everyone else, just because they made it to the counter. It became obvious that if you made it to the counter and identified your order that they were actually making your takeout order while you and the other dozen people waited…all while they were taking more orders on the phone. Geez, if they are going to be that slow and overbooked then they should put a “serving number such and such” counter on the wall. Of the hour that we all waited, someone was at the checkout counter for maybe 5 minutes, definitely less than 10. We all just waited in limbo, in a 5 ft x 8 ft waiting area and watched kitchen staff run around as no kitchen staff would acknowledge us or make eye contact. People who had waited longer than me just started leaving their orders behind. They just aren’t staffed, and their kitchen doesn’t seem sized, to allow takeout and restaurant orders to be cooked at the same time. Felt so bad for the DoorDash guys who burned an hour waiting with us, not making money, losing his tip, he was still there when I left and yes, my food was hot, meaning they were making the food as I waited. Once again, nice people. I never write comments. I hope they read this comment and understand it’s with the best intention. Am sure my wife and I will return at some point but not anytime soon and we’ll never order...
Read moreHere's my problem with this place...it's legit too good. I live here now. Let's start with location: A subtle corner in a nonchalant neighborhood. The patio is covered and the temp is PERFECT. I brought a jacket just in case. The indoor dining area also was climate controlled. Both areas were quiet (bands do perform, check the schedule!) It's clean...not a piece of paper, puddle, etc to be found. Servers have their hair up, The bars are cleared and wiped. We waited a womping 37 seconds to be seated. The couple in front of us said, "don't worry, they are quick here!" I got the impression that folks are regulars here. Our server, Jen, was attentive, friendly, and knew the menu. The menu...welp, what's your fancy? Casual pizza? Apps? Fun drinks? Fancy surf and turf? I went with the latter. Guys. Don't miss this. $38 for this huge portion of PERFECTLY COOKED meat and lobster tail PLUS these sides and a salad?! Sold. No sauce needed. Better than any steakhouse. Hubby had the meat lasagna. Apparently better than mine. #rude. Bonus points for service on a legit sizzling hot skillet. So, yeh...go ahead and take that potty break mid meal. Wash ya hands...your meal will still be hot when you return. Like a nice drink with your meal? Ask your server for their specials. They serve Coke products (yay!) and trust me...they are a generous pour on alcohol (Uber and Lyft are available!) My only complaint? My dumbass didn't get dessert! Tell Jen and...
Read moreFirst time sitting to eat for a meal and definitely the last. We came as a family of 5, two adults, two children, and a toddler. It was a Friday night so we anticipated a wait. We were seated in good time, but then everything from there was horrible. They kept telling us that the kids menu “was in the menu” twice, and eventually had to turn page by page to show them it was not, then were told they can “make anything” for kids, so we ordered generic pasta and a hamburger. Well, we waited AN HOUR AND A HALF for our main meal. Dishes were never taken away from our salads, our waitress was sweet but clearly overwhelmed. The restaurant had a wedding rehearsal party and did not staff accordingly (which they know well in advance they will need extra staff), so we continued to wait while our toddler melted down. People that arrived after us got served before us, not just one table, the whole room. When we finally got our meal, the chicken parm and veal parm were horribly overcooked and rubbery, unable to cut with the mere butter knife they provided. The hamburger for my son was cold. I asked for a comp of one of the drinks (even the beer since we couldn’t get Yuengling since the “keg kicked”?), we were told only lemonade could be comped. TWO HOURS. Horrible food. And the real kicker, the kids pasta with sauce- $22 bucks, charged everything as an adult main course....
