Riverside Barr and Grill — Restaurant in Lower Mount Bethel Township

Little known fact: The Riverside Barr and Grill is the real reason that George Washington crossed the Delaware River. The wise, feisty old military leader knew when his troops needed a win, and that's what you get at Riverside Barr and Grill. I'll be honest with you, they had the best sweet potato fries I'd ever had, and I consider myself something of an expert on the topic (along with the history of the Revolutionary War). If you knew George like I knew him, you'd realize that the flatbread appetizer is a good enough reason to risk a quick swim in a frozen river, especially with the promise of a burger to follow. Side note, great spot for a meeting up with the women also. A friend of mine, Nate, is there as we speak meeting a girl, so who knows what can happen in this spacious road-side bar.

We went here on october 9th. They don't have curb appeal. That's the only issue if I had to have one. After dropping a dog off at the emergency vet, we decided to come here for food and some drinks while we waited. The bartender was extremely friendly, tentative even though we were the only ones outside, and catered to our dog as well. All of the food was amazing. Some of the best cheese steak egg rolls I've had, the fries were the same, burgers and sandwiches seasoned well, and cooked properly. Another hidden gem! The place can be deceiving from the outside and can be a bit confusing to try to find your way Into. It has a beautiful bar inside, sports and the race playing on the flat screens. Now the food.....this place has one of the best burgers I have had in a really long time! The staff was super friendly! The bar tender "clarissa" was a top notch bar tender. Drinks were kept full, she was very attentive to all customers at the bar. She had good food suggestions and a very pleasant personality.
