We tried it on Friday night, ordered takeout. Overall, it was good but not mind-blowing. We'll definitely order again.
Restaurant was clean. The staff was well-kept and the serving staff were all in matching uniforms; they were very nice and even confirmed my order before we left, which I appreciated.
We ordered a few different items, including "traditional guacamole" which comes with a big bag of house-made chips. We were impressed by the quantity of chips. This could change in the future, but I'll definitely be coming back for this. They have a few different guacamole choices and I intend to try them all.
Also ordered a quesadilla with carnitas -- I was surprised that they used corn instead of flour tortillas which seems to be the norm for quesadillas.
I got the surf and turf burrito -- I wish it hadn't been smothered in cheese because I like to eat burritos with my hands like a barbarian. Also, they put refried beans inside of the burrito, I'd prefer them on the side to be honest.
My wife got the mexican style salmon. I think she liked it but they leave the skin on which...
Read moreOrdered 3 original style tacos with cilantro and onion, 6 American style tacos, a chicken quesadillas, and rice and beans. The meat in the tacos had a nice smokey flavor, but there wasn't much meat and it was a bit dry. The American style tacos were for other family and they all said the same thing about the meat being dry and minimal. And yes, I'm one of the ones that doesn't like sour cream or Guacamole.....at all. And you put sour cream in the quesadillas. I've never seen a Mexican restaurant put sour cream inside the quesadilla. And the flour tortilla for the quesadilla was barely grilled or toasted. It was just kind of soft and wet. My usual go to for Mexican around here is Los Osorio. Their tacos are juicy and loaded with about 3 times as much meat as you guys use. Their quesadillas are bigger, char grilled and filled with only meat and cheese. I want you guys to be good because you're local, but I can't drop $70 dollars on subpar food that...
Read moreWe usually give a place quite a few months after they opened to give it a try. Now, I'm sad we didn't try it sooner.
First our first visit, we went with all the basics. Al Pastor. Chorizo, and Asada tacos were all fabulous. The pork had such a great flavor, the steak was super tender, and chorizo had a nice kick!
The rice and beans were pretty good. The refried beans had a good consistency and great flavor, but wouldn't need the rice again.
Now, on to my favorite. The GUAC! It was so good! All of the flavors blended so well (I really don't love when your guacamole tastes like you just ate a cilantro plant or bit into a red onion). Super creamy, with big chucks of avocado.
The part that I found the most impressive was that this was all Takeout! Many times, Takeout food looks like it was thrown against the wall, but even in Takeout containers, the presentation was beautiful.
We can't wait to...
