After driving past this cute inn many times on our Sunday drives, we decided to change up our routine for lunch and drive out to the @covered.bridge.inn The staff was friendly and the food did not disappoint. Arriving mid-afternoon, we seemed to hit a sweet spot between the lunch and dinner crowds. There was a wide variety of dishes to choose from. We settled on the Mac n'cheese with pulled pork and BBQ sauce, chicken paprikash soup, and hot honey wings. The pulled pork Mac is easily 2 meals or sharable. Creamy and cooked to perfection. The CPsoup had the right amount of seasoning. Not as thick as chowder but not watery like a soup. I am not a big soup person, but I am a fan of chicken paprikash the dish. This was a winner for me. And the wings? They are really good too. The ranch dressing seemed homemade. This is a from scratch kitchen, so I believe that to be true. From their website: Built in the early 1800's, CBI was along the Stagecoach route serving hearty meals to travelers. CBI carries on the tradition serving the same hearty meals with friendly smiles in a fun, casual atmosphere. Fresh means farm to table, ocean to table fresh at CBI. If you find yourself over this way, make sure to stop in for a hot, home-cooked meal. BTW- this is a real working inn! Why not plan a stay for your next fall or winter adventure? #travelcouple #visitthepoconos #farmtotable #localtourism #eatlocal #liquidlife #resturant #poconotourism #poconosmountains #wherethelocalsgo

As a local, for many years I have been skeptical of coming to this restaurant and bar because of the fear of being uncomfortable, due to local bias for me being a Latin American. It is not uncommon in this area, and definitely sways a lot of people of color from where they choose to dine around here. Not too long ago, I gave this restaurant a chance and it blew me away. Service, quality, and the price of food are impeccable. Restaurant and bathrooms are clean as well. Tonight, I came in for wing night on my way home, everything was amazing, and the service was great as always. This would be a 5 star review if i wasnt disgusted by the racist conversation/banter that one bar patron thought was appropriate in a bar setting. I have been in the service industry for 15 years, and there is a golden rule to be followed, no politics or religion at the bar. Im all about free speech, but if I was to have confronted this gentlemen with my free speech, it wouldn't have ended well. I truly understand we cannot control what people say, but staff should have been paying attention to the conversation the man was shouting across the bar to 2 or 3 other gentlemen. This particular situation does not sway me away from this restaurants great food and service. Every single one of my prior visits have been nothing short of amazing, and the staff has always been super friendly. I know the gentlemen tonight is in no reflection of the staff or restaurant. This place is a true hidden gem. I do hope the awareness of what happened tonight is something that could be addressed going forward. Again,...

This place is a little out of the way, about 5 minutes outside of Palmerton, PA near Blue Mountain Ski Area. I had a gift card so we drove out tonight for dinner to give it a try.

Went inside and it was a bit smaller than expected. Luckily there were a few open 2-seat tables at the bar area so my wife and I were able to get a table. Waitress came to our table with menus within a few minutes and took our drink order. Came back within a few minutes with our drinks and took our order for apps and dinner. This quick service was pretty consistent through the night - she kept checking on us regularly, and a gentleman who I presumed was the owner stopped by our table to make sure everything was OK and we were getting what we needed.

As for the food itself, all I can say is everything I ate was FANTASTIC! I had French Onion Soup which was very good, and my wife and I shared Stuffed Mushrooms which were presented very nicely on what I'd call a 'tree slice' platter - very unique presentation. They were excellent as well, the stuffing was scallops and shrimp and no 'bready' type filler I usually see with this dish. My wife had a Chicken Cheese Steak and Fries which was excellent, I had a Chicken Parm entree, which was a HUGE piece of chicken that was cooked perfectly, juicy, and very flavorful with a very fresh tasting marinara sauce that was not overloaded with spices.

For an off-the-beaten-path tavern type restaurant - I was extremely impressed with everything from the service to the food to the atmosphere. I'll definitely be...

Ambiance (4/5): We visited during February after skiing nearby at the Blue Mt Resort. Sadly we were not able to experience their outdoor backyard. There’s a small parking lot to the side of the inn. The inside feels like a cozy cabin with one side being a full service bar and the other side for seated dining. The tables were nested close to each other. By Saturday around 1pm, guests started piling in. We sat right next to the warmth of the fireplace. There’s TVs all around the establishment. They have multiple events featured throughout the month, such as trivia on Thursdays at 6:30pm. Service (4/5): The wait staff were extremely friendly and smiley. She was hustling on the floor and did a great job at it! While it took some time to get our orders placed, The food came out fair Drinks: $11 mule flight! The full list of mules all sounded too tasty and each one that I ordered was indeed delicious. I would have definitely ordered another one if I didn’t have to return to the slopes! Food: Buddha Bowl ($20) (3/5) - My dish was more like a platter, of the deconstructed salad. I requested a side of steak ($7) to my meal. The steak was tough to bite into and not worth the extra cost. The bowl was absolutely filling but there wasn’t much taste to it with the exception of the tahini (?) dressing. I enjoyed the fried cauliflower but everything else was a letdown. My friends dining thought their dishes were extremely bland including the CBI Burger and...
