I can't begin to say what a wonderful experience I had at Becky's Kitchen the other day. We live right down the road but it was my first time visiting. Becky is a lovely , down to earth woman, and makes you feel right at home. I love all the old time antiques she uses to decorate her space. Her eatery is clean and spotless even with all the collectibles that decorate her walls and counters. I thoroughly enjoyed my BBQ Chicken sandwich and cheeseburger soup. The drinks are self serve with canned sodas and a coffee and tea station. What really impressed me is how kind she was to my family. My 4 year old and 22 months old are not always the easiest to keep quiet or settled in a restaurant and she brought out a box of toys full of trucks and other toys to entertain them and even pulled up a tractor seat type chair to see if my little guys would like to sit on it. She did everything with a warm smile. I felt like I was having lunch with family with the special attention we got and the kind words we received. Thank you Becky for being good to my family, you have no idea how much this meant , it's the little acts of kindness that mean the world. I am so thankful I have met you and look forward to visiting you again (hopefully soon! And for breakfast!!!) Becky's kitchen does not have an indoor bathroom, it has a outhouse (Porta Potty) that my 4 year old had to visit twice.( He was impressed with the bathroom accomodations and the wooden spoon handle to lift up the seat) I am so thankful Becky and her establishment are in our area! Keep up the great work and keep smiling! Many blessings to you and...
Read moreThe owner made me cry. We have come here before and had nothing but positive experiences but I will not return and cannot recommend this place going forward. Today was a very busy breakfast and Becky was clearly flustered. We had finally gotten our order in and were waiting at the table when Becky approached us telling me this restaurant is not for kids and she had a room full of customers who didn't come here to be around them. So I needed to take my 15 month old outside or she could pack up our order to go. My 3 and 5 year old were playing tic tac toe and memory matching game at our table and my 15 month old had fussed, but was not melting down or being unreasonably loud. I think she was flustered with how busy the restaurant was and unfortunately took it out on me. My sister and father were there as well and we were all left taken back by this interaction. I have never felt so embarrassed or ashamed to exist in public with my...
Read moreAn eclectic treasure! We were on vacation and googled “breakfast near me” on a Tuesday. There were several options but we did not want fast food. Becky’s Kitchen had a 4.7 out of 5 customer service rating, so we gave it a try. It was about 5 miles from our AirBnB. The ride took us over a bridge, thru the center of a city and on some country roads past rolling hills and beautiful farms. When we arrived it just gave us a sense of being at gramma’s house. There were lots of plants and flowers, lawn ornaments and antiques. Inside we were warmly welcomed and made to feel right at home. The mis-matched tables and old farmhouse decor were the perfect match to the ambiance. The sweet familiarity between the locals and the staff was heartwarming. The coffee was great, food was tasty (and generous portions) and the prices were very fair. Don’t miss this...
