Boonies Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Loxahatchee Groves

I went with a friend for karaoke night. It’s my second time going since I was convinced to because 1st visit food was not great. I believe in second chances. We arrived to a pretty empty restaurant and sat in a booth. Karaoke had started and it was pretty entertaining. People were starting to arrive and the singing was awesome. Greeted by a not too happy server but I wasn’t going to let her ruin my night out. We ordered the flight of margaritas and they were all very weak. I’m really bummed but damn it, we made it out so stay positive. Ordered a burger & wings for the table and when it came out it looked delicious. Wings were yummy, burger was 7 out of 10. I asked for a glass of water, never made it to the table. My friend asked for mayo and server pointed to end of table expecting it to be there and it wasn’t so she just exhaled and went and got it. My water? Nada! We were eating and she dropped off the check. I’m confused…. So we finally are done eating and I ask for another margarita (I felt it being useless complaining at this point and just let me enjoy another weak one🤦🏻‍♀️) After about 10-15 minutes I looked around and there was our server doing her sidework (stocking up things and going in and out of kitchen) I was trying to get her attention but she wasn’t budging. I think after 20 minutes or more 🤷🏻‍♀️, she finally comes over with a check again and says “they’re sending me home so do you mind paying”🤯 I asked if she had my margarita and she confessed that she forgot, brings it along with a box. I put my card in book and it sat there for 5 min (so much for rushing us to pay). I work in this industry so I try my hardest to be easy going but the service was absolutely awful. I wanted to talk to the manager but I really just wanted to finish my margarita, enjoy one last performance and get out of there. Not going to lie, I might go back with my boys for the wings but definitely avoiding Sara H. I’ll take the bouncy fun server that was singing karaoke next time. Damn, didn’t get her name. I have been a customer for over 25 years and unfortunately tonight I was asked to leave. The last time I was there, 3 months ago, a girl I haven't seen in years was drunk and started yelling at me. I ignored her at first but after a while I started to defend myself. They ended up throwing me out and I thought 3 months would be enough time to pass by that I could maybe return to the bar. They saw me after about 10 minutes talking to a friend outside tonight and asked me to leave. Even though I did not do anything wrong. Again I have been hanging out there my whole life and my other friends who have done way worse than that, like bar stools flying and heads rolling are still allowed there and I had a little screaming match outside in the parking lot and I was asked to leave. I just wish that one of the owners could have given me a chance to apologize when I got there tonight. After not showing up for 3 months and letting things settle down before they just came out tonight and asked me to leave so abruptly. I would have been very happy to tell them my side of the story and move on from there. Also because I can't shut up I have one more question, are the other people that were involved in the argument with me banned from the bar as well??? I mean no disrespect. I was just writing this whole thing out...

We hadn't been here in a very long time. Decided to give it a try, and we really enjoyed it. We arrived just after they had opened on a Sunday. The interior was bar like (dimly lit, music playing), but it was clean and neat. We were seated by Kitty, who promptly took our drink order. Drinks arrived quickly, and we asked a couple of questions about the menu. Kitty was knowledgeable and honest and offered some suggestions. We ordered some jalapeño poppers for an appetizer, and then we both ordered lunch off of their specials menu. I ordered a bowl of clay chowder and their BLT with fries. My wife ordered the shepherds pie. Ordered my fries well done. The appetizer was good (not made in-house, but still good). Food arrived, and I noticed my fries were not well done. Spoke to Kitty. She promptly reordered the fries. They came out pretty quickly and were done perfectly this time. Food was hearty and tasty and really hit the spot. Overall, it was a good experience and the service was fantastic! We will try it for dinner some night as well. Kitty was a great ambassador of the establishment and told us all about the different events on...
