My wife and I have been traveling. I should mention I am handicapped. Anyway enroute from texas to florida, we stopped here for breakfast. After a very nice breakfast supreme service and very clean area we were ready to go, or we thought our vehicle broke down. This was approximately 6 am. We said nothing to the team inside. They however noticed we were having issues and jumped in to help. The 1 shift, 2 nd, and 3rd shift teams became Heroes. One member who was getting off to go home instead drove 2 hrs to pick up parts we needed. The managers from 1st and 2nd shift were diligent iin ensuring we were safe and were getting their support. Many times through out the day the day they personally checked on the progress of repairs. They adjusted their team accordingly. Some waitresses also on and off shift were providing care and support.
At 3pm my wife had made a decision. Out of concern for my health, to move me into a hotel while repairs continue.
We felt like family by now. The 1st shift manager used his vehicle to take to me to shelter.
By 6pm we were called to return to the restaurant. Our vehicle was repaired
The store and its team demonstrated commitment above and beyond They proudly represented the Waffle house name. They provided personally time and resources to assist us. We are so grateful and indebted to them When we eat it will be at a Waffle House. Thank you Monty & Sharon Wooten,...
Read moreThe person cooking seemed to be a manager but spoke more like he also covered other stores. There was two of us. Both waffel house employees years ago. We also frequent waffle house, so we know how its supposed to be. We both ordered chicken n eggs. The chicken was terriable on both orders. Cooked with the weight on them and for too long so what should have been a really good peice of meat was so dry we took them home to the dog. The eggs wasnt rught. What should have been over medium was one cooked correctly and one over well. Or hard. The grits were ok. I order mine with grilled onions and cheese. I think he nearly forgot them because the onions were still firm. Not grilled hardly at all. The toast wasnt even good. There was alot of unmelted butter. Yuck. It was buttered cold. The other diner with me whos chicken was the same ordered her eggs scrambled with cheese. A big selker at waffle house. But these werent cooked the waffle house way. They were cooked all wrong. Her raisen toast was good. Her water with extra lemon was good and the tea is always good. The service by ms teresa was perfect. Shes an old timer and can always be counted on for great service. We were there during the day shift. The cook was in way too much of a hurry. I know he has alot to take care of a manager or what ever.. but come on. There was only 3 tables busy during the course...
Read moreHubby and I went for breakfast yesterday and it was a terrible experience. Right off the bat our waitress was very rude. Right after we were seated she walked up and asked what we wanted. My husband said he wanted a coffee and she just responded with "What do you want to eat?", in a very snippy and condescending tone. Mind you, we hadn't been given menus yet. Thankfully he orders the same thing Everytime, so he was able to recall his usual order by heart. I, on the other hand, like to peak at the menu before I choose, so I just had to come up with something I could remember ordering before. I asked for a hash brown bowl, not thinking about the fact that they have different kinds. She asked which one I wanted and when I asked what the options were she listed them off with an attitude. A few minutes later my husband gets his plate, but we still hadn't received our drinks. Then my meal came, still no drinks. I had also ordered a side of toast that wasn't delivered to our table. Finally we had to ask for all the items we hadn't received. Thankfully she was apologetic. I like to give people the befit of the doubt, and maybe she was just having a bad day, but there's a still a line to be drawn when it comes to customer service. Will do my best to avoid this location and will continue going to...
