Jarochitos Mexican Street Food — Restaurant in Ludowici

I always order a Taco salad at every new Mexican restaurant I visit. If they make a great salad I'm definitely coming back. Everyone has there favorite or standard by which they judge a place and this is mine.

This was the worst Taco Salad I've ever had. Took a bite and sent it back. The shell was like rubber. Obviously it had sat around long after being cooked and the meat was definitely old and watery. It was bad!

I was met in the front by a gentleman who I think was the manager or owner who seemed genuinely surprised at my dislike for the food and apologized. I thanked him for that and tried to pay for the tea but he said if I didn't like the food then no charge for anything. Nice guy. I still tipped the waitress, she's just doing her job and didn't cook the food. I would normally finish by saying to stay away but given how well the manager handled the situation I might consider a return with friends but would definitely not order...

I was in the mood for some tacos. My husband pulled in there I asked him what in the world are we doing here in Ludowici? He says we are going to this Mexican restaurant to get you some tacos. When he came to the car the food smells amazing. I couldn't help but think of what kind of tacos they were which I already knew because of the aroma coming from the bag. When I opened it up it was as confirmed and my initial thoughts. They were everything that I thought they would be. They were seasoned perfectly. The only thing that I would change is that the cheese sauce was a little watery and I like my cheese sauce plane without the jalapenos and stuff in it. I would honestly give my customer the option to have the cheese sauce with the jalapenos or without. I would also thicken it up a bit. Other than that the food...

Went as a group of 7. First thing, the air conditioning was not on. Thankfully after another customer wouldn't let up about how hot it was, the air conditioner was turned on. Having only 1 waitress to wait on all of the tables ... is poor management to me. The waitress was real nice but she forgot stuff, took long to get stuff and couldn't completely understand English. I speak Spanish so it's fine with me, but the rest of the people I was with had a hard time communicating with her. Flautas weren't on the menu, but they let me order them and they were good. Good portion size but I think it's over priced. The queso blanco (white cheese dip) that was put on the beans was ok. I guess for a little city with not much else this restaurant is ok ... But I prefer driving a little further to...
