Jalisco Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Lumberton

For starters, the reviews that are on this page are for the former Los Cabo’s Resturant just bought out and changed to Jalisco Mexican Restaurant in Lumberton. By far the worst service and food I’ve ever had eating out. Frankly, put an embarrassment to Mexican food. I will never, ever be back. It was all I could do to keep from walking out. My chips were stale, cheese dip ice cold, I don’t know what they were attempting to make with their salsa but it most definitely was NOT salsa unless it was very old. I got my chips, salsa, and cheese dip. About 5 or so minutes later I placed my food order. After repeating the order numerous times it still came out wrong. About 10 minutes after I got my food I finally all but had to throw a fit to get my drink.(Didn’t get a drink when I got my chips and salsa.) I ordered the taco dinner with no lettuce rice and beans. The beans were oily, the rice had to have been from previous days and reheated the in the microwave it was so dry and hard it was inedible. The tacos were insanely greasy. So greasy my second taco literally fell apart when I picked it up and the shells were almost burned. I was thoroughly disappointed. Service was absolutely horrible. From the time I got my chips and salsa until about 5 minutes AFTER I got my meal it took 20 minutes to get my drink. Once I got my drink I was never checked on again. I promise you I won’t waste another $20 here!!! Absolutely embarrassing. If they keep serving many more meals like the one I got and don’t up their A-game on service I don’t see this place staying...

Pleasant surprise. As a Texan eating Mexican food in Mississippi, I was a little wary. So take the following as constructive criticism Los Cabos if you're reading. I ordered the chimichanga and it could've been fried a bit more, but it was stuffed with chicken and it was just the right size. I loved it. The chips and salsa were fresh and the cheese dip (its queso guys...c'mon you can teach Mississippi) was tasty. Also, just take the timeto printt out your beer list. Our server had NO idea what beer they had and was uncomfortable in us asking. The manager/owner had to come over to tell us. They had a pretty odd mix of foods. It's not solely Mexican but it's still good food. Service was great, friendly staff....

This use to be our favorite place to stop as we drove from our daughters in Columbia to our home in Vancleave. Sad to say our meal on 5/13/2025 left little to be desired. We ordered the Taquitos and they were paper thin and burnt. I did take pictures but can't post them? This use to be our favorite item on the menu ....they use to be thick, flaky, and delicious.... but tonight they were hard and burned ....We have tasted better frozen from a box.... My other issue is please bring a bowl for everyone at the table for salsa. No one likes to eat from it after seeing others double dip. Asked for a bowl and had.to wait 10 minutes for it.... then asked for an extra order of Tortilla and had to wait 12...
