We were headed to Roger's Springhill Auction from Auctions Unlimited & wanted to grab a bite to eat. As we were passing by their signage led us to believe they were a Breakfast till Lunch eatery(like so many are now) and this was why in our many evening time passes by here that we had never even considered stopping, but this time there were a couple of cars out front, so we decided to pull in and see if they were serving at 6:30 in the afternoon & as it turned out lucky for us they were. We walked in to a cozy lil Cafe that turned out to be a Hidden Gem. Now we were in a Hurry because the place we thought we were going to place a phone order to, was closed when we called at 6:15(Chuck's South Side just up the Road) and we were trying to make it to Roger's by the Start of the Auction & we did. Anyway the younglady that waited on us was sweet as she could be and the gentleman in the kitchen was hard at it. My better half ordered a Catfish PoBoy that came with the Biggest Filet that I have seen in a long time, as it was slightly bigger than the 8"(I think) bun that it was put on, and around here you usually get a couple of Filet Strips on PoBoy that size. Now that Filet was not only big, it was as also just as good as it was big. I didn't get a pic of the Catfish PoBoy because as soon as we pulled up at the Auction I ran in to register & do a quick walk through before going back out to eat & my better half had already put most of that PoBoy away. Now my Shrimp PoBoy had what most restaurants around here would call Jumbo Shrimps on it & there were enough on it to have been a meal all their own & they were seasoned & cooked to perfection with the Sandwich being well Dressed and having somec great Pickles on it. Now after getting these Great PoBoys to go, we are planning on going down one evening to go in and enjoy a sit down meal followed by Desert & Cup of Coffee made with Beans from a local Roaster. The only negative thing I can say is that the Restroom was as Hot as the Kitchen(it's backed by the kitchen), but the Cafe itself was comfortable. So if you find yourself headed by the Hwy 13 Exit while traveling on I-59 between Hattiesburg & Picayune, it's only a couple of Minutes from I-59 & well worth the slight detour for a Really Good Meal. If you find yourself passing thru Lumberton on Hwy 11 then when you get to the 4 way stop at Hwy 13, just turn toward I-59 & as soon as you go over the Rail Road Track's the Lumberton Cafe will be...
Read moreWhat a cute little gem in a small town! We were traveling through and was looking for some options close by and saw this little place! It had lots of sweets. Ice cream bar. I ordered a roast beef po boy (without onions and add mayo) and it's hard to find a good shredded roast beef poboy and not sliced. The ranch Is HOMEMADE and I think it's the best ranch I've ever had, and I only eat homemade ranch. Everything was quality and our waitress was very attentive. They had some grab and...

My husband ordered the Tommy Duke's Catcher Breakfast, and I had the Lumberton Omelette. Oh, I can't forget to mention that the Cinnamon Roll was amazing too! Nothing better than some good ol' home...
