We stopped in at the beginning of the dinner hour on the recommendation of a local friend. The restaurant itself is closed between lunch and dinner (2-5pm) so plan accordingly. Earlier is better, as the restaurant quickly filled up and we got there shortly after the dinner hour began. It was a seat yourself, and there was ample seating for the size of the restaurant. It also has a bar for seating as well. We were seen to immediately and our server, Brooklyn, was the sweetest and most attentive. The food came out fairly quickly, and everything was delicious and tasted freshly homemade. I have tried seafood gumbos around the state and I must say theirs was as close to a homemade version that you might get in a Cajun momma’s house. I’m sure the chicken and sausage is just as impressive. Their gumbo is definitely a must try. The ample half-basket of onion rings as an appetizer was some of the best I’ve ever had (take that Bobby Flay😜). The added little zing of red pepper in the breading was a nice surprise. My friend had the pork chop with smothered sauerkraut that was delicious. I had the seafood stuffed portobello with a shrimp and crab, cream sauce over angel hair pasta that was delicious as well. My friend enjoyed the bread pudding with warm almond sauce and I haven’t had cake as lovely as their baba since living in Amish country in PA. I loved the atmosphere that still showed its historic roots from the mid 1890s when Lutcher was a logging town (there’s a short history on their website). An altogether pleasant experience from attentive staff, to the ambience, to the amazing food. Worth a stop just north of the River Road on Main St. You won’t be...
Read moreThe Service started out Fast as it was beginning of Lunch crowds, but it slowly got real slow. Waitress took drink order but took long time to bring to table..Ordered off Lunch Menu hoping for Quick lunch...not the case-- ordered an Appetizer Crab cake w/ sauce...10min later crabcake arrived w no sauce. Had to ask for sauce, that took too long. Drinks came, Waitress Never returned to refill. By this time people poured in, standing outside, but some people would slowly drift into dinning room an stand by your table to watch & wait for you to finish ,so they can get your table--they even started conversations, I guess to hurry you along..I have NEVER been to establishment that allowed people into your area watching you eat and some would come take chairs from your table and wait near you? Highly Rude & Inappropriate practice. The Lunch special came, it was tasty ,but luke WARM, must have been plated soon as lunch special but near cold upon reaching table...The portions were small, so thus too overpriced..1 Crabcake was as much as Daily LUNCH Plate specials... It seemed to be the TRENDY place as was crowded ,but it wasn't ALL THAT. Things coming out of kitchen took long as everyone was waiting for...

They are known for several local dishes (ie: Butter Beans & Shrimp, Oysters, Crab Cakes, Specials.) Eating or drinking at massive antique bar is worth the experience. There is never a stranger in Nobile's, only someone you haven't met yet.
Anyway, my absolute fav meal is the CHICKEN CAESAR SALAD WRAP with ONION RINGS with a friend. You get the whole salad in 2 wraps & their caesar salad dressing is homemade and worth the visit. It makes it perfect to share with a friend, too. Oh! The onion rings are homemade, too. Then to top it off ... another homemade item ... a layered pudding coconut cake topped meringue called BaBa.
Tell 'em Sherett (from the White House) sent ya to try everything they have on the menu, especially the Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap, Onion Rings and BaBa! And they get ...
