VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: I am saddened that I won't be returning to this Resrurant. The owner is so nice & most of her staff is very kind. The FOOD...IS EXCELLENT..very very good. But I have based my decision on a very SOUR, MEAN individual..... that was a young & very UNPROFESSIONAL employee. He is about 6 foot 2 or three with shoulder length black hair in a pony tail age..about 19 to 23. We ordered a buffet and finished eating & asked for a take out container as we have done before with no problem. He gives me an attitude right off the bat & says...on a buffet you have to pay per pound. I said yes..if you're taking it to go...I just want what's left on my plate. He says...nope..can't do that. I say we haven't had an issue before. He turns and walks away. I wasn't happy. I walked up to pay for the meal and didn't say anything. He said cash or card..I said card. Then he starts in on a lecture. We don't let food go from the resturant..You have to pay for it by the pound. I said..I've never had an issue before taking my leftovers home. One of your waitresses gave me a to go box about a week ago. He says..very sternly....WHICH WAITRESS. I said..I don't recall. At this point I feel as He is treating me like a theif..I just wanted to leave and go home. He says...DO YOU WANNA LEAVE A TIP. I laughed inside and said in my head..HELL NO. But..I just said...NOPE. I took the receipt and as I was walking out the door..I told my wife...well...I guess we are never comming back in here. Young children ....which I will call this person..should not be working in customer service with an attitude. I felt like a criminal. I felt disrespected...but...if you can get past some of the young peoples disrespect and attitudes...then I would say...go to green acres..the food is excellent. Just stay away from the tall dark headed child that...
Read moreLoved it and it was just what the dr ordered too! Almost forgot what it was like to eat in a restaurant with people in it. Let alone the food was delicious large salad bar with lots of different choices and a dinner buffet with 3-4 diff fish choices and then as many choices in how it was prepared. Fried baked raw breaded battered or baked. Shrimp clams roasted chicken egg rolls mashed potatoes..then there is a whole refrigerated display case where they keep their fresh baked pies for sale by the slice or the pie top. Peanut butter is a favorite, but I cant look past the coconut cream little slice of heaven...but their broasted chicken is divine (we ordered a 12 PC to go for less than $18 too. Just a fantastic staff that makes everything personal who go the extra mile to make your visit out even more wonderful. We heard several waitresses and staff call customers by name and we never had to get anyone's attention for service or assistance either. As our waitress was right on time everytime not too much not to little just perfect. Going back if I get a...
Read moreObviously this place wasn't horrific because the line was out the door when we got there. So apparently the people around there like it. My experience was less likeable. We had 6 people in our party. We told them that we didn't mind splitting up. They assumed that we wanted two tables close to each other which we never mentioned. As tables opened up, other people went before us. We waited 40 min, when others waited 10. There was mass confusion at the door. It's very congested. To make it worse, when we explained to them that others were sitting before us, they argued blaming it was our fault and the criticized us for not being polite about it. My uncle was peeved but not enough for the people to call him out like that. Food was OK but not worth the wait. Chicken breast was dry. They ran out of rolls and served garlic bread instead that was hard as a rock. Buffett was limited but decent salad bar. Won't...
