Cilantro’s Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Lyndon

Do NOT order TO-GO food here. I have ordered it multiple times, trying to give them another chance. I thought maybe they were just really busy. Tonight proved my disbeliefs.

They usually always underestimate the time it will be done, and usually it's not by 5-10 minutes. One time had to wait 25 minutes extra for one meal, while they weren't busy at all.

But that's not it, I understand sometimes it can take longer than expected. My problem is when you end up waiting longer, to get a poorly made meal that was splashed together and tossed in a metal to go container.

Who puts soft flour tortillas on top of the "side" of sour cream, a tiny tablespoon of brown nasty looking guacamole that looks like it was made two days ago, and about a QUARTER INCH of grease. Literally every time I order food, by the time I get home, which is about 5 minutes, the food has already soaked up all the grease and just falls apart.

Don't put hot soft flour tortillas on top of sour cream, guacamole, and a huge amount of grease. I don't even understand where the grease comes from, is it just added in afterwards? I've never cooked and had this much grease.

I have given this place many chances. You would think by running a Mexican restaurant, these issues would be comment sense to avoid. But no, they make it suck every time.

I would rate lower if I could. We went here in April 2021 and when we went to leave we had a hiccup with our debit card despite the money being in our account (we bank through a small bank and occasionally run into this issue). We asked them to void the transaction and ran it through our other card. We left the establishment, bill paid in full plus tip, without incident. Then on July 3rd 2021 we had a random charge after we hadn’t been here in almost 3 months. On top of that when I called the manager he informed me that they had our debit card information hanging in the window for almost 3 months (compromising our card and requiring us to cancel the card) and couldn’t provide any explaination regarding why it took nearly 3 months for them to present a perceived issue. The food is ok but not worth your bank information being compromised or being double charged for. Pay cash if...

Not very happy. Went there for the 1st time, no other customers were there. Waiter was very nice. Put our drink order in, then put our food order in. I ordered a grilled chicken tossed salad. He brought me a taco salad. He apologized, no big deal. Brought me the salad that I ordered. Mind you a simple salad. He asked if I wanted onions I said no. I cannot eat spicey stuff because of stomach issues. I started eating the salad and something was kinda hot, figured there were onions in it. Didn't eat a lot, took the rest of it to go. Come to,find out there was a jalapeno pepper cut up in it!!!! Even with the taco salad it does not come with that in it, nor the rest of the salads. I have been suffering since. Never again. Person cooking needs to pay attention or had an attitude because I had the waiter return...
