Durbins of Justice — Restaurant in Lyons Township

7/15/24 I ordered dinner in for my child partner and me. The food is always ready fast and usually a great experience, today unfortunately the customer service and food quality was not there! To start the combo platter came extremely over cooked the mozzarella sticks did not even have a stretch of cheese AT ALL! The onion rings were also rock hard. The skins and wings werent as good as usual but they didn’t completely miss the mark like the other items. When my husband picked it up it was missing an entire entree. The girl proceeded to tell my partner that they didn’t have the potato and my partner said a refund or to do a side salad and whatever pasta was fine. The girl misunderstood I think or he did which I was fine with. Ive worked all customer service fields and absolutely get stuff happens. I proceeded to explain that it was a pasta for my daughter and that I really needed the main item or a refund; regardless of the sides not being available I wanted. I don’t know what the girls issue was but it’s 5:30 on a Monday and now I’ll be having to cook so my daughter doesn’t watch us and not have a meal, meanwhile mine will be cold by the time I can eat. She clapped back very rudely that they couldn’t do anything and that it shouldn’t have been on the menu. Said I didn’t answer my phone number I listed, which also is untrue I checked my call log. Then said I would not get a refund today cash, even though I paid cash! Said it will be credited to my account in a few days(mind you I ordered online WITH CASH) and that the cook refuses to even make a mostacolli and side salad! If you don’t have things in store a manager should politely explain that, explain to his cook that we didn’t mind waiting for it but not just leave the situation completely unhandled. I’m glad they finally have lids for the to-go cups!! Such an inconvenience. My biggest issue is the PIZZA THAT SITS OUT ON THE COUNTER, WITH NO COVER ON IT. I cannot understand how they think that’s okay. The pizza slices literally sits on the counter, under a light…for HOURSSS!!! Pizza is so DRY and OLD! I was told the department approved for it to sit out for 4 hours (I will be confirming this). I would hope food that was cooked 4 hours prior wouldn’t be sold to someone. Especially if it’s sitting out on the counter UNCOVERED. Insane. I asked if I could leave a suggestion and was told NO. Was told that the store manager will be guaranteed to NOT give a damn!! He wouldn’t think twice about changing anything. Insane to me.

UPDATE Thank you for responding to me…and in a professional manner. I do agree the pizza is good. I just hate the fact that it sits out with no cover for hours like that. The pizza I had the other day was beyond dry and didn’t taste home made. More like a frozen one. Everyone can’t be pleased and I understand this. Not sure how this place can be so drastically different than the other locations of Durbins. The front of house employee was so rude. She messed up my order for pizza bread with olives. I came to pick it up and saw the recipt. When I pointedout hrt mistake she said I was wrong but she would check. I was not wrong. She overcharged me and put sausage on it claiming it was sauce. Saus and sauce are different. I told her it was an allergy to meat and she still swore it was just sauce. I don't know if she thought it was a fake allergy or not, but i have Alph Gal syndrome. It is real. I get home with the food take a bite. Thankfully I noticed before swollowing and called back. I live close by and asked for it to be delivered and she tried to charge me for it.
