Chipolte was closed, Tina's was suggested. It was a great find! Excellent food all around the table. I had the bruschetta topped with chicken drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette...yummy! Appetizer i ate as my meal, with a cup of Beef Barley Soup...delish! My nephew had pizza and he said it was awesome. They are personal size (4 slices) but loaded with cheese and toppings. My son had a burger which is grilled he said it was really good. When checked on after meals delivered we asked for more water. And i mentioned i didn't get the vinaigrette drizzle. By the time she returned i was half finished with my food. It took 15 minutes. We dined in the igloo outside. It was quite warm and very clean. I didn't realize they automatically added a 25% gratuity. We didn't look at the receipt initially. I asked for change so i could leave a cash tip. When my son didn't know the amount i looked at the receipt when she came back with the debit card. Glad i did... She was going to get a bigger tip but since they decided my tip amount, that's where i left it. They also had a time limit for igloo which was plenty of time. The servers work hard coming in and out of the restaurant into the cold and other elements. My server was very nice, other servers also smiled and greeted us. A couple little hiccups but understandable under circumstances and Covid. Overall I'm very pleased with...
Read moreLet me start by saying I probably attended five or six weddings at this venue the food was always decent. Not ambitious or extravagant but also not just run-of-the-mill. I've never had a bad meal here. My problem lies with the open bar. I feel like the liquor that they use is not the liquor that we would get ourselves. At the last event I had ten Jack and cokes and I didn't even have a buzz. Normally I would think this was odd but I had discussed the same thing with my wife the last couple times we went to this place and we both agreed that alcohol is either water down or of a lower percentage of alcohol than what were usually served. My wife don't even drink usually and even SHE didn't really catch a buzz. Other than that, it's exactly what you would expect.
Edit: After seeing the response from the venue i felt that i had to come back and reiterate that yes, we were served jack daniels,( its the only liquor we drink), and as you can see form the picture, i was definitely at your venue. Also, like i previously stated, this wasn't my first time at this establishment or the first time yall served watered down drinks from bottles that were already opened. And as for the bartender, at no time at any wedding i've attended here was anyone ever cut off for having 10 drinks. in fact, quite the opposite. Don't try and tell me i don't know what i'm talking about, just...
Read moreOur friends and us go out every other week and try new places. They picked this one. Busy place for a Thursday evening. You could tell the locals were enjoying the bar. This typically tells me that the place is friendly and has decent food. Dinner was better than I anticipated. An Italian/pub restaurant you never know how things will go. I ordered the calamari appetizer and some wings. I know... ordering calamari in Macomb is kin to getting gas station sushi. But .. wow! Cooked beautifully and the sauce was amazing with the lemon and capers!! One of the best I've had in awhile. The wings were also fried perfectly. My companions also agreed that the food they ordered was surprisingly good. We have been to multiple restaurants over the past year, and this was a pleasant surprise. The service was prompt, albeit a bit frazzled. Waitress was either newish or had to many tables. I saw 2 other servers but the place was hopping. 60 plus people and 15 to 20 tables, so I know she was in the soup. Regardless, she kept moving like a tropper..never losing her smile. I wish I had gotten her name so I could give her credit here. Bottom line.. we will be back!! I just hope that calamari is as good as it was tonight!! Bravo to the chefs!! Should have sent them a bottle of wine!!...
