In the ideal southern barbecue restaurant, the star is the food. Inexpensive yet tasty and the surroundings are secondary. Fincher's has this in spades. They have been around and family owned since 1935 and it shows, not only in the dining room that has undoubtedly served hundreds of thousands but the food and the friendly owners who keep people coming back. Excellent brisket, excellent sauce, a handshake from the owner when he sees a face he hadn't seen before, the friendly banter from the waitress to everyone and casual conversations with dozens of regulars who can't get enough of the place.
