Waffle House — Restaurant in Madison Township

The service was absolutely terrible. We waited quite a while before even being served due to the waitress being on her phone, we did not receive drinks until we went up and asked after waiting, my father had to go retrieve our straws because she neglected to give us them after asking twice. Our order was giving to us incorrectly three times, and the food that was NOT ours but places on our table was given to another customer seconds after the waitress switched the bread with NO GLOVES. The waitress proceeded to have her mother and sister help her clean up the restaurant while she stood around and did not service our table AT ALL. We did not receive a single refill or even our check. We had to go to the counter and ask for the bill and to go box’s because, due to the sister of the waitress making remarks and foul language (a 5 year old was dinning with us) we needed to leave. As we were leaving the sister of the waitress that was helping service the restaurant (while not being a worker or in work attire with unwashed hands) made vial remarks to my mother and when confronted continued to make a plethora of remarks. We will NEVER eat here again and I hope that some calls to the health department and upper management could be made to solve the situation because this was the absolute WORST food service I’ve ever seen. Went and got breakfast this morning and it was the most disturbing experience. The environment was very dirty and unkept. From the tables and cups to utensils. The server served my friend a cup of OJ with black stuff around the rim of the cup. You have to fill that cup up, its clear and empty before its filled. you watch it fill up so it doesn't over flow. How was that missed? Completely disgusting. Then they overcharged me for my meal. To add cheese to my eggs it was a $1.00. Grant it, i can go to the store and buy a whole pack for close to that amount. I'm very disappointed. I paid close to $15 for eggs and steak. The whole meal is priced at $9.90 on the menu. I did not get the toast or hashbrowns that comes with it, instead i asked for additional eggs scrambled with cheese. Got my bill only to find out she didn't substitute them she added it on to the original price of the meal. ($2.00 total for cheese alone) That's pretty vital information to give your customers upon receipt so they are full aware of the additional charges they're expected to pay. I'm highly disappointed and I will NEVER eat...

Upon entry pulling into the parking lot, there was a black male having a smoke just outside the employee door, we would later find out that he was also the cook.....hopefully he washed his hands.

Upon entry into the restaurant, we were encouraged to place an order to go. We asked if dining in was an option and was advised it was okay. However, the server refused to provide a clean spot at the countertop, and when we politely asked her to wipe up the previous patrons mess, she tossed us a wet towel and stated "here is a towel to wipe that up" 😆 Never had that happen before.

Throughout the visit, she left the wet towel next to the dirty, sticky circles (see pictures), and placed the freshly cooked plated waffle and other food plates on Top and next to the previous patrons mess. She complained to my daughter during the entire dining visit that she was tired and hungry and couldn't wait to get out of...
