Vasilios Greek Cuisine — Restaurant in Madison

Waited almost 45 minutes for my lunch, which was a Greek salad with gyro lamb. The restaurant wasn’t full, but it was busy enough to keep the two servers (who were both very kind and as attentive as they could be) constantly moving. Hard to judge the quality of the entire menu on my meal, but there was absolutely nothing special about the salad or the lamb on top (which was actually a bit dry). Creamy feta sauce had a gelatinous consistency and (very unfortunately) tasted like mayonnaise. Nothing exciting about the food, decor or dining experience. Came to pick up an Uber eats order and was stared at by one waiter as the other waiter explained why they don’t take Uber eats orders when obviously you do since the order came through. My advice would be to update your website or something so that customers will know.

To your response: I understand you all have had a bad experience with delivery services but my customer was able to make an order through Uber eats and it would not have been a scam because as I told the young lady it was a pay and order. My wife and I had a wonderful lunch experience at Vasilios, and it was our first time there. We had a humas and pita bread appetizer that was fresh made, almost too hot to touch, and killer good. We each got the seafood entrees, one a lemon-baked black fish that was delicious, and the other a shrimp and scallops dish in a spicy Greek white sauce over rice which was also cooked to perfection. Both meals came with a very nice small Greek salad that had a great oil and vinegrette dressing. The wait staff was very responsive, attentive and informative and the ambiance, while minimalistic, was quite comfortable. We will definitely revisit Vasilios. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and...
