The Filling Station — Restaurant in Madrid

We stopped here while taking a break from a bike ride on the High Trestle Trail. It was a warm day, so ice cream hit the spot!

Stopped after hiking at Ledges. Service was quick and polite. Was thrilled to see they had my favorite, a Kit Kat flurry. However, when I took my first bite, there was bits of caramel in it. To the best of my knowledge, there is no caramel in a Kit Kat. When I asked the person at the window, she insisted it was a Kit Kat and we were done. So, whatever I got was tasty, but it wasn't what I ordered and no attempt was made to solve my concern. Such a fun experience to go for ice cream here! The atmosphere alone takes you back in time going to the ice cream parlor as a little girl! The young lady that took our order was so sweet and patient to let each of our little ones give their own order! The cafe lights, tables and umbrellas set the quaint scene!
