Hunters' Dairy Freez — Restaurant in Mahoning Township

Always enjoyed making the trip here.. or stopping in when passing through. Yesterday though was the first time I've felt it just may not be worth it anymore. Prices were a always a little high for what you get.. and now even more so. I still stuck to tradition and ordered a small twist cone w/ sprinkles.. the young lady read it back as vanilla cone, I again said; chocolate/vanilla twist ...I ended up with plain vanilla anyway 👎🏻and realized sprinkles are $1.00 extra ..? Seriously? They're sprinkles! $4.50 for one small cone, that wasn't what i ordered.. I realize mistakes happen and it's just ice cream.. but also realize you can't fix these issues if you aren't aware of...

We were driving back to Baltimore after seeing Blondie at the New York State Fair in Syracuse. We often enjoy taking The Road Less Traveled because one never knows what little bit of magic one may find along the way. Hunter's Dairy Freez is such a place. We had already parked at the mega Sheetz across the highway when we glanced across the street and saw the Dairy Freez. It was dwarfed by the Sheetz but we were captivated by it and immediately crossed the highway. This is a great place to get ice cream and the staff are very friendly. There is a Great Selection of food at this Awesome Little Restaurant and the Atmosphere is Great. The Service is Excellent, the Burgers and Fries, Onion Rings, Applesauce, Soups, Every food is Great here!! I Love going here, it's small, Family Owned,has outdoor seating and playground for Children. Their Ice Cream Desserts are Many and Yummy!! Great Food, Great Service, Comparable Prices and Great Atmosphere!!!! This is a Lovely Little Restaurant and I Enjoy going here!! They're only open though, From, I think March to September or maybe Early October. Closed...
