We used to come here when we moved to the area in 2010. It was good, but I'm not sure what happened around 2012 when it went terribly downhill. Stopped going and went elsewhere. A couple years ago I decided to try it again for lunch and it was almost inedible.
Recently I saw that it was under new ownership and getting better reviews. Here's mine.
I ordered wonton soup and the boneless spare rib combo. The wonton soup was excellent and the noodles that came with it were good. The fried rice that came with the combo platter was light and fluffy and not heavy and greasy, a very nice surprise. The flavor of the egg roll included was light and slightly sweet, pretty good. The issue was with the boneless spare ribs. While they were less fat and more meat than most other places, there was still a lot of fat and they were noticeably salty. Still not terrible, until I got a tooth sized chunk of bone towards the bottom. Luckily I felt it on my tongue before biting into it. That dropped my rating to 2 out of 5 vs 3.5 out of 5.
The new ownership has definitely improved the food and service, it just feels like they have further to go before making this a good restaurant instead of average. But average is still much better than...
Read moreThe worse. I walked in and almost walked out because the place looks as if it’s going out of buisness, nothing is on the counters at all. I ask for BBQ sauce on my chicken she said she didn’t have any, I asked for ketchup and hot sauce, she said she didn’t have any. My chicken and French fries taste and look like it was friend in old grease, not to mention the chicken wings were small as ever. Oh and she looks me in my face and says 9.53 for chicken and French fries. Why is it almost 10 dollars smh. I can’t even chew through the egg roll she nicely put with my food. This place is holding on by a piece of thread and they just need to let it go and...
Read moreIf I could leave zero I would. I’m new to the area so I decided to try this place out. I ordered 1 combo and then found out they had a $10 minimum so I quick grabbed a drink. My total was about $10 and change. Just checked my account and they charged me $15.00 exactly. Of course I lost my copy of the reciept. Well, besides that- the food left something to be desired- the general Tsos tasted NOTHING like any general tsos ive ever had before and the fried rice was bland, clumpy and dry. Meal didn’t come with any sauces or fortune cookie/ but that’s not that serious. Most concerned with them STEALING from me! Stay far away...
