Rand Road House — Restaurant in Maine Township

First. I happened to be lucky enough to have the rare (as i was told at least) rib special. The fact that those ribs were the best i ever had blows my mind. Our bartender was extremely nice to a fault. Carded ok. Do your due diligence. I ordered a beer and 2 well tequila shots. I was served a shot while my wife got her id from the car. She was served a fireball shot by mistake then a shot of tequila. After me having one shot and a freshly cracked beer and the wife a shot of weak fireball and 1 tequila she refused to give us more drinks untill after our food. I do understand the responsibility of a bartender but this was just too much. We had realistically 1 shot each because how can you count fireball. It made us very uncomfortable and judged and as a result were weary of ordering any more alcohol. While i appreciate the responsibility of the barkeep that was just too much. I felt trapped in a youtube video of "that vegan teacher"...

I sat there enjoying my afternoon talking with the bartender and patrons when suddenly thos guy...who I was told was the GM came up to us (now let ne tell you, there were 3 of us in the whole place), and said, "Keep it down". What the heck??? I asked him why, and he said, "Cuz I said so." Then he proceeded to walk away into the back area. BOOM! I paid my tab...along witb a nice til for the bartender (cuz she was actually enjoying the conversation), and said, "I'll never set foot in this place again". And, guess what...there's no reason whatsoever that thay should have happened. And I hope...REALLY HOPE,noone ever patronizes a place like that. Bad Move Dude.

P.S. He was really smug about his (so called, "authority".) He apparently doesn't know anything about the SERVICE industry. Ifeel sad for the owner.

Rand Road House delivers fresh hot food and ice cold brews. Stopped in for lunch while waiting for my vehicle to finish across the street. I came just in time for 1/2 Price Burger Tuesday. Ordered a 1/2 pound burger with lettuce, tomato, onions and cheese and boy was it delicious, The patty was cooked exactly as requested medium rare and-just fabulous. Nothing could be better than an ice cold beer and the bottled Old Style was great! Bar staff was attentive and friendly...
