The food at this place is really good. Service was ok- the staff was more interested in chatting with each other than fixing the soda that was out - so since one of us can’t have sugar and really only drinks Diet Coke she had water. She let the staff know when it ran out and at the end of the meal checked again and it was still out. Since it was part of a combo meal we didn’t complain but it would have been nice to have someone communicate if they were totally out - especially since we had asked. On to the food - the soup was the best I’ve had in several years. It was served at the exact right temperature, stayed nice and warm and had great flavor without being too salty. We had the feta fries - crispy and well seasoned - and three different entrees. I had the chicken gyro which was really good - well seasoned and an ample portion, my husband had the regular gyro and not a crumb remained, and my daughter had the falafel pita which she reported to be perfect - crispy and soft inside with really good flavor. The veggies were fresh and delicious - the food was about as perfect as you’d want it to be. The atmosphere in the restaurant is fine. The music is a little on the loud side and they have a speaker placed, oddly, right over your head where you stand to order, making it difficult Ilg to hear what the cashier is saying. I would probably scoot that one over a bit. Tables and chairs are good sized and comfortable and the outdoor patio seating is well shaded and comfortable too. We will definitely be back and are excited to have this new restaurant in the neighborhood. Hopefully as they get busier the staff will step it up a bit with communication and attentiveness to guest concerns.

To start, it took 30 minutes for a lamb souvlaki and 2 gyros. The souvlaki plate came out and I had to ask for proper silverware, it didn't come out with the plate. After an additional 10 minutes of not having the gyros, I went up and asked for a refund. My mother said that the lamb was dry, but cooked correctly. The lemon potatoes were nothing like the photos you may have seen, they were dry, and not very good. The only saving grace was the lemon on the side to try help them. The grilled pita was dry too. I noticed that other tables were not getting food at the same time either, and looked like my order went to another table, since it was halfway done. The staff looked and acted like they didn't care, and I was a bother to them. The tall girl in the back looked like she was high, just staring into space, not doing anything. I usually don't write scathing reviews like this, but it was horrible. Save yourself the trouble, skip the BOGO coupon, and go somewhere else. UPDATE: The email that I was given in the response is an incorrect email for the business. Don't think that the response was genuine, it wasn't, and nothing was rectified.

The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill was pretty great! My fiancé and I wanted to grab a light lunch after our pre-wedding photoshoot in Maitland and this establishment happened to be minutes away. It was also on my "must visit" list. I'm glad we decided to have lunch at the great Greek because it was very good. The chicken gyro was tasty and over- stuffed. The gyro platter I ordered hit the spot too. The lamb was good and the gyro was stuffed as well. Everything tasted fresh. But what stole the show were the feta fries! They were excellent...and this is coming from someone who does not like loaded fries! It was perfect. The taste of garlic and parmesan with crispy fries, topped with mozzarella and feta sprinkled over everything was greatness

Been here a few times before and the food was good, service was fine, stopped in last night around 7:20pm, the place was basically empty, to order two identical meals. We waited over 20 minutes, I asked the lady at the counter if our order was ready, she asked for our name. I reminded her we were dining in. The cook asked if we were missing anything, I said we haven’t been given any food yet…he was puzzled…then the lady turned around and saw a single plate of food…she then responded it will be coming out shortly. The same plate was brought out to us a few minutes later…I asked about our other entree, she said we will have to wait. Seriously, who brings out one plate at a time?

The real problem - The meat was luke warm at best. I brought it back (still waiting in the second entree) to let them know. We ended up waiting another 15-20 minutes for our food to arrive. I asked why it took so long, the lady’s response quote “we are closing soon, so the kitchen is slow”. I replied “but you close at 9pm, we ordered at 7:20pm”…she stared at me with a blank face…I asked her “why would you close down the kitchen so early? I stated “I could’ve cooked it quicker at home!” her reply “then go cook it at home”.

I was blown away. I couldn’t believe her rude response. No one ever apologized for the cold food or the extremely slow service, then her comment was more than enough reason to never come back. I asked for my tip that I left on the bill before all this happened to be refunded for the terrible service. She simply walked off.

The manager, to his credit, came over and said he was refunding our entire meal. I believe the manager should’ve corrected her and made her apologize but I don’t think it would help her understand she was in the wrong.

With terrible service and rude staff this place will surely...
