Whisky River Saloon & Grill — Restaurant in Malone

Not impressed at all. FIRST... I was the designated driver for my wife & brother & was our 1st time here. Bought a round for our table, 4 beers(brother & 2 friends), 1 mixed drink(wife), and 1 water(mine), paid $40 cash & no change back. THIS HAPPENED 3 TIMES!!!! SECOND.... Karaoke night is hurting business! Karaoke ends at midnight. At least 15 people arrived at 11:50pm, another 10 people around 15 minutes later. And by 12:30am, that place was ROCKIN'!!!! I asked a couple of regulars about this and they said "Kareoke Crew ain't all that." I had noticed that predominately, the only people participating in Karaoke were sitting at 1 table & were friends/family of the man running the show. In closing, The hot wings were great! SHOW UP AT MIDNIGHT! AND PAY WITH EXACT CHANGE/CREDIT CARDS...

Whiskey River is more geared toward the bar experience. The bartender is an absolute dish and is such a stick of dynamite when it comes to making sure her customers are taken care of. It just depends on which night you go, depends on how many people are there. I've never had an altercation everybody is very pleasant. And the bartender knows how to make drinks. I came in here with two friends. To check the place out it was a cover charge and they kept on telling us that it is a cover charge like we were not gonna pay. Second the owner and the bartender are rude. third they don't tell you it's cash only when u come in the door they wait till u leave so they can charge you. And they make out towners feel like outsiders probably will...
