Cafe Lorraine — Restaurant in Maltby

We stopped here only because it showed up on our route. They had plant milks, although they had run out of my favorite, soy.

We got two lattes. I appreciated that mine was super hot. Hotter than when I've asked for extra hot at Starbucks. And I didn't ask here, so that is just how she made it.

I also liked that it wasn't as foamy as other places. When I finished it the cup was empty; with, say Starbucks, there's always an inch or more of foam at the bottom.

That being said, the coffee was weaker than I like. And when we were driving away I noticed the sign for that day's special: 16oz almond latte for $5. That's what I had ordered, but I was charged $6.50. Oh well.

As for parking, it's set in an oddly shaped, gravelly lot with no set spaces. We parked as out of the was as we could, not wanting to drink in the car. There was a picnic bench and a small table with two chairs, neither of which had an umbrella. We were going to drink our coffee there, but the sun was blazing and we didn't last 10 seconds. We ended up drinking it on the road.

We wouldn't go out of my way to have coffee here again. But if it's the most convenient option en route we'd definitely get coffee there again. If so I'd be sure to notice the specials board first!

If we needed coffee...

This is one of my favorite coffee stands to goto, i go out of my way almost every morning to come to this coffee stand when there is one way closer to my house.. i love all the girls there except for the new girl Emma they just hired.. that was an extremely poor choice to hire this girl.. everytime i come through the stand and she is working she is extremely rude.. she never says hello... she never says have a good day.. and she acts like she is better than you.. it honestly makes me want to take my business elsewhere because of how uncomfortable i feel coming to this coffee stand when she is working... we are not in high school and noone is better than anyone... be curtious and genuine and be grateful you work with such nice girls.. and have such nice customers.. i really hope this gets addressed otherwise i am going to be taking my business else where.. i do not want to start my morning angry because some girl was...

Hi Cafe Lorraine, I have no complaints about the coffee or the Barista. It's the coffee cup. This is the 2nd time in 2 months I got coffee and both times the hot drip coffee seeped through the gaps of the lid consistently on my shirt. Tried to lift the cup and the lid came off and spilled everything in the car. I thought it might be because the drink is too hot that, the lip of the cup might need some time to settle.

I left the cup for 2hrs in the car, and tried it after that and again it dripped...
