I'm writing this review specifically for my wedding people out there. McCoy Station is such a cool wedding ceremony and reception venue and here's why: How many weddings have you been to that include a gondola ride? McCoy Station is the spot. There are awesome ceremony sites up there--both the Steeps Bar and the rooftop have incredible views of Mammoth Mountain. And there are two reception sites--Parallax and the main room which is better for bigger groups. The weather can be a chaotic up there, especially if you're going outside of the traditional summer wedding season, but it's always worth it when the sun comes out. Parallax has incredible views of the Minarets and mountains to the west of Mammoth, and the main room at McCoy is perfect for a massive party with a band. The whole experience, from the food to the views, weather and transportation, is iconically Mammoth. I've included a few photos from recent weddings up there but I definitely recommend McCoy Station to couples looking for that epic Mammoth wedding experience. Your guests will...
Read moreVery few dining options from this station and our food was very dry. It tasted like the chicken on our sandwich had been sitting out for hours. The food is not cooked to order so I don’t recommend it at all. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich and I asked for lettuce and tomato on it and then chef told me no. The sandwich was $18 and I thought it was extremely rude that the chef told me that I couldn’t just have lettuce and tomato on a sandwich that was that expensive. I am becoming more and more disappointed in Mammoths customer service and food service and it makes me not want to continue coming here. When I have somebody as a guest it means a lot to me to treat them well that they enjoy their food and their experience. It feels like mammoth just could care less...

What's nice about McCoy Station is that it is smack on the middle of the ski mountain. The Main Gondola on the mountain comes through here on its way to the summit and if you have need you can grab a ride a ride either up or down the mountain. You also would be hard pressed to find a better view while snacking away on the half way decent fare found here. As mentioned in other reviews, the bar service here does seem to be a bit better and friendlier than other...
