Stopped here with my husband for dinner after a day of 4 wheeling in the area. They were pretty busy and while it took some time for the waitress to come take our order, the food came out quickly. I decided to get the 2 taco and green chili burrito plate and I wasn’t disappointed. My husband ordered the same except red chili. They offer tacos with choice of crispy corn shells, soft corn or flour, or deep fried, I had the soft flour. The shredded beef tacos were amazing. The food tastes fresh like a homecooked meal, the generous portions of beef were so tender and delicious. I had filled up on the 2 tacos and rice/beans, so ended up taking my burrito home. Just finished warming it up in the air fryer this morning and it was also very delicious. Full of tender chunks of beef, stewed tomatoes, onions and green chilies. Didn’t even need any salsa. Prices were very reasonable, dinner plates started at 10.99, my combo was 13.99 I believe.
So happy we chose this place for dinner and will definitely be back next time we are in the area!!! I didn’t even realize they had their own bakery next door and will have to check it...
Read moreWe dropped in for our second visit around 1pm on a Saturday. There was a large group of 4 wheeler owners that were seated together & enjoying their appetizers and drinks. We found a booth with a clear view of live college football being displayed on a large HDTV. We were greeted quickly with menu's provided, drink & appetizer order taken by a friendly waitress. Another waitress began taking the large group's order for lunch. Uh oh, it's going to be awhile until we get our food! After their order had been taken, our waitress came to take our order for lunch. We both ordered the carnita's hard shell taco, (a la cart menu). We actually heard the cook say when our waitress submitted our order, "I'm making the short order first!". Wow, just what I wanted to hear. I was hungry. Anyway, the food and service are excellent. The menu tells the story of the family recipes, etc. I believe their story & really enjoy their food. The Margarita was too sweet. Another shot of Tequila helped. The views of the San Pedro river valley are wonderful through the large front...
Read moreThe horchata was delicious, the chili relleno was cooked to perfection, and the complimentary chips were tasty.
But, there was no direction on how the seating process worked, if we took menus ourselves, or how to pay for our check.
Service took forevvvvvvvver. I’d say from the time we walked in to the time we got our food was over an hour and a half, and there were only three of us. Our waitress was nice but not on top of it, not once did she offer to refill or ask how we were, how the food tasted. There were about 5-6 tables so maybe it was a little busy for this restaurant in this very small town. Want to give the benefit of the doubt, just feel they need to staff more appropriately for busier weekend days.
Stressing this because we saw a group of 5 walk out waiting to be served. No one even came by to apologize for the wait, to take their order, offer drinks, nothing.
The onion ring was like biting into a spoonful of grease.
