Veronica's Bakery — Restaurant in Manatí

I travel to PR at least 6 times a year! I always stay in MANATI where my husband family is from! Love the food! Especially the coffee and sandwiches! But the service is horrible! I was craving for a sandwich and drove from the Hyatt from one This evening! While driving there I was hoping not to encounter the elderly least with the white hair! She is so rude and has no customer service n she is beyond Obnoxious! I placed my order and she waited for the worker to clean and bring all chairs in the to tell him to make my sandwich! I was on vacation in PR and staying in Manati. I happen to do a Google search for the closest bakery from the Airbnb. Veronica’s Bakery came up. I’m so glad it did. Their sugar donuts, pan sobao & pastelitos de guayaba are out of this world! Not only did we visit the bakery in the mornings but we did go late afternoon. Their bread was warm and pastries fresh. They definitely do their baking & cooking on premises and keep all of the items fresh. I also enjoyed a lunch special of their bistec with white rice and red beans it was absolutely delicious.....

Just because I couldn't give 0 stars. We saw good reviews and drove there. No prices on the bakery. Bought bakery and chicken sandwich. Chicken wasn't cooked- just through away. Bakery tasted very stale. Husband threw everything away. She told us $29 before sandwich and after my husband asked her WHAT??? she said- sorry and said this is price WITH sandwich. I don't recommend that place at all. At least be sure to ask prices before you start to choose... Very...
