I live in Mancelona, maybe three blocks away at most from this restaurant. I will for now on go to Kalkaska for my families and my own food cravings. I refuse to go to Bellaire as well because they are under the same ownership and have the same issues. The reason Kalkaska is so decent is even though all three have the same owner, Tom Sr.. unlike the other two they have it clean, well trained staff, and that's only because they are always there in that location, I'm sure. Every time I order there the food is cold upon giving it to me, the bathrooms are horrible, Ive seen staff at front desk scratching at their head and other body parts and grabbing peoples food without washing hands. Any items that are special ordered they never get right. The pricing of Soda is ridiculous. Every other McDonald's sells larges 1.00 theirs is 1.75. Asked for mayo packets, they don't carry them and want to charge me for a small cup of mayo. Chicken nuggets always cold when I get for the kids, and the fries are always half way filled up and as well ice cold. I came in one time through drive thru and waited 15+ mins for an order when their was only one person in lobby and one behind me in drive thru to get my food cold once again. Seen the owner Tom Sr. through the window when in drive thru a day they messed my special order, called as soon as I arrived home because everything was cold and not the way we ordered nor complete, and they said he was not in but offered to replace my order with one free meal when we order over 28.00+ of food for the family that night, ended up baking a frozen pizza because we all were hungry so the dogs ate real good that night (COLD MCDONALD'S) not my idea of taking care of the situation in my opinion and when I do go there to get a replacement meal the manager on call did not have my name in the book and was rude and hesitant about giving me my order, to which was below standard. smdh. I will probably end up calling the Corporate office about all these issues because we work hard for our money to buy things we can not eat, and then when I do allow the children to eat fast food they are disappointed because its cold, under cooked, or not the way we ordered. My daughter is allergic to cheese so any time we order her double hamburger and they put cheese on it, it goes right to the dog or trash.. THANKS MANAGEMENT for having your locations is good running order, now Ill be paying more for gas just to go get a decent priced and HOT MEAL and it will not anytime soon be...
Read moreWell today I ordered 2 big macs, 1 large fry and 2 double cheese burgers with cheese and extra onion. I got my food and got home and there were no double cheese burgers in the bag. So had to go back up there and then I was told to park and wait while my other food is cold by then. This is not the first issue since every time my husband goes there for breakfast and always gets 2 egg mc muffins and 2 sausage egg mc muffins and every time they put sausage on all 4 of them. He has order it and told the person that takes his order that this has happened and they are still made the wrong way so I can no longer order a sausage egg mc mc muffin because if I do they end up putting sausage on a regular egg mc muffin so we no longer eat breakfast there. I can understand thing happen from time to time but for it to happen every time and who wants to order food and pay for something they did not order. Read moreThis McDonald's USED to be reliable and fast but ever since their remodel they have went downhill. Showed up today to grab lunch for my husband and I before I went into work. Placed my order at 1:37pm. 2:10pm came around and I still didn't have my order and was going to be late for work so I had to leave without my food. During my wait time I saw quite a few disappointed people and even people who walked out without ordering because they were waiting too long. They took the drink machine out of the lobby so people can't even have their drinks while they wait. Instead they sit on a metal shelf with the ice melting for 20 minutes while the order is made. This isn't the only problem I've had since the remodel but I kept giving them another chance thinking they were just getting used to the new layout but obviously that wasn't the problem.
