The Pizza Man Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Manchester

Editing my review from 5 stars to 3 after two recent bad experiences.

About a month ago, I ordered online and requested 7pm pickup. The receipt said it would be ready at 7. My husband stood in the lobby until 7:27 - asked 3x about when our pizza would be ready. No one apologized or even acknowledged that they were running behind. We let this go assuming it was an off night.

Yesterday, I ordered 3 pizzas. One was a vegan pizza for me which came out good (I’m lactose intolerant), another was a “pizza man” off menu which was good, but the 3rd was a custom pizza. On this pizza, we requested vegan sauce (this pizza was for a vegetarian who doesn’t want sauce cooked with meat). For some reason, they put vegan cheese on this even though we ordered regular cheese. I guess they assumed we wanted vegan cheese because of the vegan sauce but it totally ruined the pizza for the person who wanted normal mozzarella. It would be better to call if they’re not sure, but the order was pretty clear. By the time we noticed the mistake there was no way we were going to drive 15 minutes there and 15 minutes back to correct it .. so at least the fries were good I guess.

These issues put a damper on 2 family pizza nights for us :(

Pizza is really good! I LOVE that hey have vegan options :) I wish they delivered to...

I usually don't write reviews, but this is a special situation. I am a big time pizza connoisseur. We order pizza every Tuesday night at my house. I am fairly new to the area, we moved here last March. I have been trying different pizza places in the area and had never heard of Pizza Man until we signed our youngest son up for tee ball. Pizza man sponsors his team and I just knew I had to try them out. We ordered a large roni and a small roni for delivery and a 2 liter of soda. This is the best pizza I have had since moving to Manchester. It was cooked perfectly, the sauce wasn't too acidic which I'm usually really sensitive to, it had an extremely generous amount of pepperoni on it, just the right amount of grease you would expect from a pepperoni pizza and the crust was absolutely perfect. I ate every bite of the 2 slices I had. The rest is going in the fridge for breakfast tomorrow :) I think we found our new go-to pizza place! Thank you Pizza Man!

Side note: I did not find the wait time to be any longer than it has been from competitors, including chain restaurants. I can appreciate the fact that it is made...

Once you've managed the almost impossible task of "getting your food" and permitting it's what you've ordered the food is great. With that said, the past SEVERAL times we have placed an order there I have been put on hold and forgotten TWICE and have received the wrong order FOUR times. The other two times it took over an hour for it to be delivered and they are located 1 mile from my house. When I called back today they wanted to put me on hold AGAIN. No, no, no... I was on hold for over five ( literally if not more) minutes and had to call back. She was extremely rude and took my order then hung up on me. If it wasn't for the location and how good their food is once you've gotten it I'd never call back. I am searching for a new sub/pizza shop that has better business sense. Hire more help and maybe your over worked counter girl wouldn't have to be so rude! Better yet , pick up the damn phone and help her!
