Honey’s Restaurant — Restaurant in Mangham

Food was great, but definitely need to work on their friendliness skills and to stay off their phone. The waitress took our drink order and never checked back in with us. We were going to order off the menu since it was 45 minutes before the buffet started, but by the time she actually asked if we were ready to order the buffet started. The entire staff ignored us the remainder of the time their. I had to leave the table with my drinks to get a refill. Even when it was time to pay we still had to wait for one of the waitresses to come to the other register because they were all grouped up together on their phones on the other side of the store. I understand taking a to-go order, but when there’s at least 3 waitresses with under 5 tables in the whole store it’s disappointing to see each one glued to their screens, even the manager! The nicest person there was the buffet line girl. The other three just ignored us and rolled their eyes at us which is absolutely embarrassing for this business as they were all three grown women and the business itself that has been opened and managed by one of the girls grandparents. We tried to talk to someone about the service we received and the manager and waitress actually tried to play it off as if we were rude for telling them they didn’t have good service. Having worked in retail and food industry for the past 7 years I have the experience and knowledge to know that this was completely unacceptable behavior. I so totally wanted to give this 5 stars. And the reasons I’m not are not many but are important. It was not busy in the dining room. But it took forever to get menus. Once we ordered it took literally 18 minutes to get our hush puppies appetizer and then another 8 minutes later we got our salads. 3 minutes later we get our entrees - seafood platter and catfish Breaux Bridge. During this time we had one server get drinks and take orders, then another brought appetizer. We still Don’t have silverware. I finally go and get some off the buffet (that is only open for lunch). First server finally brings salads and second server brings entrees. As she sits the plates down she asks if she can take our salad plates….ummm we just got them. Food was good. Nothing spectacular-but good. Mine (catfish) would have been better hot and not room temperature. His (seafood platter) was hot. Waitress then leaves quickly. No offer of cocktail sauce or tartar sauce. We wait thinking she may have gone to get them….. 10 min later I go and ask for cocktail and tartar sauce and get tartar sauce and French Dressing. 🤦🏼‍♀️ soooo….. bottom line the food is good. Solid on the portion size and flavor. Timing needs work on serving and service needs training on timing. Had the service been better it would have been a solid 4-4.5...

Very disappointed with the one of waitress at Strong's restaurant. Me and an elder friend come into the restaurant to see if they had a buffet and she stated not today....She gave us a menu and asked if we wanted something to drink and we stated not until we get something to eat. So....she waited on other customers until we decide what we wanted off the menu and I called her and she stopped and I said that we are ready to order.... She walked away as if I had said nothing to her with no response.... We got up to see if there was a manager available but it was not and no one in charge....My dad is from Mangham and I was down there looking around on Saturday, September 9, 2022 and was recommend Strong's restaurant, but I will not recommend them to any one and I will tell my story to any one that ask about them......Poor service and poor management. No manager and no one in...
