Update July 2024 WINS Steamers--$22 Yikes! These are incredible. Creamy garlic sauce with bits of bacon and tomato. Thick cut toast. Nearly ordered a second bowl to go.
Rib Sampler -- $22 They upped their price on most things. Sampler used to be $15. Traditional still good. Kung Pao has changed sauces over the last year. It's ok.
SERVICE Outstanding. Already great service just keeps getting better.
FAILS Grilled Shrimp --$20 DO NOT order the grilled shrimp. Uber disappointing. Tiny. Super tough. Pic shown is of a shrimp on a soup spoon for size reference. Definitely not worth $20. Save your money and get another round of steamers.
Rosemary Garlic Fries -- $12 Meh. Beefsteak fries were just not that good. Not worth the price. Chunks of garlic. Rosemary on top. Just not worth it. Regular fries or SPFries are better.
Overall still a solid place to eat. As a note, inflation has unfortunately hit here too. Everything is up across the board about $2. The ribeye is $54. It was perfectly cooked. Delicious. Just seemed kinda small. Said 14 oz. Lando had their 16 oz for cheaper.
.................. Classic place with new vibes. The food is still outstanding. An easy ride outside of Three Forks gets some incredible fried green tomatoes. They are classic and delicious. Ribs were on point and traditional. The woolzies fried chicken sandwich was definitely worth the drive. Little bar and casino on other half of the restaurant. Great service and planning to go again to get some...
Read moreWe have been coming to Willow Creek for years and have always loved it. We came tonight for my daughter’s birthday and it was severely disappointing from start to finish. The clams used to be my favorite on earth, and tonight we got two orders only to find the broth tasted like dirty dishwater was nothing like it used to be, and the clams were very fishy tasting. My mom ordered a $52 ribeye medium and it came out well done. My daughter ordered the cheaper steak and it was flavorless. My husband ordered Kung Pao ribs and they brought half KP, half mustard. When he let the waitress know, she took the whole plate back and brought his plate back after they had attempted to scrape off the mustard flip them over, and then put Kung pao sauce on the same ribs. The waitress did not come over and check on us one time during our entire meal to see how things were or offer us more cocktails. I understand many restaurants are shortstaffed in Montana right now. However, there were only three tables in the entire restaurant and one group of five people in the bar next-door, so there was plenty of staff to be checking on the tables and making sure everyone was OK. The two waitresses were mostly standing on their cell phones the whole time or talking with the people at the bar next-door. I am extremely sad to say that that will be our last trip out there after many years of family tradition, and...
Read moreHad a Mother's Day dinner with 4 Mothers and their children in the party. Food as usual was excellent (more on that later). Service was excellent for a very busy day for this small establishment. Being an older person with hearing aids, the main dining room was pretty noisy, primarily due to the acoustics of the room and the crowd. It has tall ceilings with historic tin ceiling tiles. (I knew that from visiting there for years.) Everyone's meal was great as you could tell from the clean plates that were picked up. Ribs are their specialty and there were 4-5 of the party which had them. Children's menu is non-existent, but the young kids made do with chicken strips and burgers. I believe that everyone was pleased with their meals. The small kids, 3-7 years, had a fun time dancing to the live music in the bar while the adults waited for their meals to be served. The only downside that I know of was my meal. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. It was pretty small for $25 (maybe 6-8 oz) and the real problem was the it was full of gristle. The chunks of gristle were large and tough enough that they couldn't be chewed and swallowed and had to be taken out and put on the plate. Generally, I think that chicken fried steak uses "manually tenderized" steaks, whereas this steak appeared to be a regular steak. The upside was that the...
