Where do I begin? Our wedding day was nothing short of a fairytale, and it's all thanks to the remarkable wedding venue at Bogeys. From the moment we set foot on the grounds, we knew it was the perfect place to exchange our vows and celebrate our love. With its combination of a breathtaking golf course, a serene lakeside view, a charming bier garden, and a magnificent tent, Bogeys provided us and our guests with an unforgettable experience. Firstly, the golf course was absolutely stunning. The lush green fairways and well-maintained greens offered an idyllic backdrop for our wedding ceremony. The rolling hills and manicured landscapes created a picturesque atmosphere, capturing the essence of romance and elegance. It was a photographer's dream, and the resulting photos were simply breathtaking. The lakeside view was another highlight of this venue. As the sun set, casting vibrant hues across the water, our guests were treated to a truly mesmerizing sight. The tranquility of the lake, combined with the natural beauty that surrounded us, added a touch of serenity and tranquility to our special day. The bier garden provided a unique and fun touch to our wedding reception. Our guests enjoyed the lively atmosphere, sipping on refreshing beverages while mingling and celebrating. The rustic charm and cozy ambiance of the garden created a relaxed and joyful environment that perfectly complemented the festivities. It was a wonderful space for our guests to unwind and enjoy the evening. The outside area overall kept our guest in awe , having the firepits and corn hole brought a down to earth vibe for everyone. Lastly, the huge tent was a remarkable addition to the venue. It provided ample space for our reception, accommodating all our guests comfortably. The tent was elegantly decorated, complete with up lighting and beautiful drapery, creating a magical ambiance that made us feel like we were dancing under the stars. The attention to detail and impeccable setup of the tent truly exceeded our expectations. The staff at Bogeys deserve special mention for their exceptional service. Nora was fantastic , nothing she couldn't do to accommodate us. From the initial planning stages to the day of the wedding, they were attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was executed flawlessly. Their expertise and commitment made the entire process stress-free, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the joy of our special day. If you're searching for a wedding venue that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, elegance, and a touch of whimsy, look no further than Bogeys. We cannot recommend it highly enough. Read moreI spent January searching for wedding venues and by February, we were discouraged by all the hidden fees and elevated prices, until we found Bogey's and gave them a call. We met with Al, we booked them even after seeing a few more venues because they'd work with our lower budget. And then the pandemic happened. We were absolutely heartbroken that this would happen when we finally wanted to get married. We didn't know how our wedding would be effected. We returned to Bogey's in the summer after things reopened, only watching the news and thinking we couldn't have a wedding anymore. Al spoke to us and told us not only could we have it while being safe, but we could invite a sizeable number of guests, over 100! The state restrictions worked out just enough in our favor. So we went ahead with everything, carefully watching for restrictions and for the weather conditions like hawks. Jennifer was THE BEST to work with during this time and Al was always reassuring to the family about the safety precautions the venue takes to comply with the CDC. The wedding day finally came and I got to meet Nora, who was honestly one of the MVPs of the night. Nora had my back. I had make-up accidentally get on my white mink shawl in the car to the venue, she cleaned it up in a jiffy, looked like it never happened! She made sure my dress looked great at all angles walking down the aisle and you'd swear she wasn't even there! Before the reception, she helped me and my maid of honor with my bustle, and there were SO MUCH bustle troubles that night, a part of it even broke that night, but she was full of solutions. There was a mix up about the signature drink, she got me one anyway. The wedding cupcakes didn't come as a tier like they were supposed to, so Nora had the staff bring them out for guests and made sure the guests had cupcakes to take home! I even found out the next day that some random people tried to crash the wedding, but the staff kicked them out and I didn't even know a thing at the time, since I was worried about the bustle shenanigans! The other staff were awesome too. It was really fun to see them enjoying the music we had going lol. Despite all the troubles that led up to planning this wedding outside of anyone's control, Bogey's made it happen and they made it an awesome day! My now husband and I will be back for the regular menu in the restaurant here and there because it's as good as the catering menu. My guests loved the food, my more coronavirus cautious guests liked their seating arrangements, and I couldn't thank Bogey's enough for making this wedding happen...
Read moreIt pains me to give this review because I’ve referred people to Bogey’s and loved it before the other night. I’ve been several times for Saturday or Sunday brunch or lunch with my girls. We had reservations and loved everything. The atmosphere, decor, service, food and drinks. A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I went to Bogey’s for dinner and cocktails. It was about 7:30 on a Friday night. The restaurant and bar were packed and we were told it could be 45 mins to an hour before we could be seated. We left and went elsewhere because we were really hungry. No big deal, since we didn’t have a reservation that evening. Last Friday, 1/24, we made a reservation for 5 at 7:30. I requested a high top table to be sure we’d be inside, not the outer seating that has the plastic up for winter. We arrived just before 7:30 and were told that our table wasn’t ready yet but they’d let us know when it was. At 7:58, a hostess came over to us where we were seated on a bench and asked if we were “Hillary, party of 5”. We said yes. She said they’d texted me to say that the table was ready a couple of minutes before. I looked and did have a text at 7:53 but I told her that we saw them calling for people seated on the lobby and no one told us to expect a text. So we go to the hostess station. We were then told something like, I know you requested a high top table, but we don’t have one available, we can’t just make people leave. But we can offer you a table in the outer part of the restaurant. We agreed because we were already waiting a half hour but I did express my dissatisfaction and disappointment. We didn’t want to be outside. It was chilly out there and there’s no ambience out there. Our waitress Julie was great and the food and drinks were good but we won’t be back and I’ll no longer recommend Bogey’s. To make people with a reservation wait a half hour and provide a table where we specifically did not want to be, is completely unacceptable. So, my star rating for service, is NOT in any way meaning the servers. It’s for the hostesses and possibly management, if they were aware that this happened. My star rating for the atmosphere is average, because it’s great inside and terrible outside, at least in the winter. I have always lobed the food, my husband thought the filet mignon was terrible, so I took one star off for food. If you do go, I’d say just go for drinks and apps, not...
